A 4-year-old child was severely burned after falling into a pot of boiling soup at a synagogue last Friday night during prayers. He sustained second- and third-degree burns over approximately 42% of his body.
He underwent surgery and is currently hospitalized at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, where he is sedated and on a ventilator in the intensive care unit.
