United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi:

The possibility of Gazans crossing into Egypt from Rafah to escape a military attack would make a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict impossible and cause a “major dilemma” for people fleeing.

The attack on Rafah may make the movement of Gazans to Egypt “the only available option for safety.”
