The Syrian army has launched its military campaign to liberate the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo from the Western proxy SDF militia. [V]
The army attempted to stop the criminal actions of the SDF organization by reaching an agreement that stipulated the withdrawal of its fighters with their weapons. However, the SDF targeted the buses three times, shelled army positions, and attacked soldiers, leading to the martyrdom of three soldiers and the injury of more than twelve others.
The policy of stalling adopted by the SDF, accompanied by systematic shelling and the targeting of civilian sites before military ones in the city of Aleppo, reduces the chances of continuing with any new agreement with this organization.
We discovered the presence of a large number of elements from the terrorist PKK organization in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.
These criminals participated with the SDF in killing more than ten Kurdish young men who refused to fight alongside them, after which they burned their bodies in cold blood to terrorize our people inside Sheikh Maqsoud.
After the expiration of all deadlines granted by the army to the SDF inside the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, we announce the start of a clearing operation of the neighborhood from the presence of this criminal organization.
Once the clearing operations are completed, the neighborhood will be handed over to security forces and state institutions to begin their work immediately.
