You should have a good command of the English language — be able to communicate via emails and personally. A full command and up-to-date knowledge of the Russian language (first language or equivalent) is essential. You'll need experience of work in a similar position in a news environment along with wide and up-to-date familiarity with the target area and an in-depth understanding of its history, politics, social issues and culture as well as the changing needs of the audience. You'll need to demonstrate extensive knowledge of the media situation in the target area and of gathering journalistic material through all up-to-date technical means. A thorough understanding of the latest developments in digital storytelling is also essential.
12 month fixed term contract.
