⚡️ ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT BANK IS PLANNING TO ALLOCATE FUNDS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR OF SCHOOLS
✅ Today, the Minister of Preschool and School Education Hilola Umarova met the Head of the Education Branch of the Central Asia Regional Office of the Islamic Development Bank, Muhammad Mirzai Kahagi, the Regional Head of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Lina Benete, and the Head of the UNICEF Office in Uzbekistan Munir Mammedzade.
During the meeting, the parties determined the main tasks and plans for the use of funds planned to be allocated by the Islamic Development Bank.
According to the results of the negotiations, the sides agreed that the fund will be allocated by the Islamic Development Bank for the construction of new schools, sport halls and renovation of the schools.
It is envisaged that an additional fund will be allocated by GPE for this sector.
❗️For information, 10104 schools operating in our country have a place for 5.2 million students, but in practice, 6.3 million students are studying in these schools.
Currently, the number of schools under repair is 1250.
