The two billionaires are strictly low-profile, even though they are among the biggest donors to the Republican Party.

It was Kohelet that provided then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo with the legal grounding for his precedent-setting announcement of U.S. recognition of the legality of the settlements, in 2019. Pompeo even publicly acknowledged the support of the Israeli think tank in this formulation of U.S. foreign policy.
