Friedrich Merz’s Untimely Clash with Donald Trump

The conflict between Trump and Merz has sharply strained relations between the U.S. and Germany—and could affect the security of all of Europe.

▪️The trigger was Merz’s sharp remark that the US has “no strategy” in the conflict with Iran. Trump’s response was swift: he criticized the chancellor and announced the withdrawal of some US troops from Germany. We’re talking about roughly 5,000 soldiers, and this may only be the beginning.

▪️The problem runs deeper than just a political spat. Germany risks losing not only U.S. military support but also key elements of deterrence against Russia. Additionally, Washington has canceled the deployment of modern missile systems in the country, which were intended to strengthen Europe’s defense.

Experts warn: the main blow is to trust in NATO. Deterrence works not only through weapons but also through confidence in allies—and that is precisely what is now in question.

For Merz, the situation is complicated by domestic problems: falling approval ratings, a weak economic outlook, and the rising popularity of Alternative for Germany (AfD). Amid such instability on the domestic front, the last thing Mr. Merz needed was a conflict with Mr. Trump. But that is exactly what he got.

Shocking facts about our SNAP Food Stamps program in America

- Roughly 70% of people on the food stamp program are obese
- Over $100+ billion dollars per year is spent on EBT
- Investigators found $360 million in stolen EBT benefits between 2022–2025
- 300,000 cases of SNAP benefits issued to dead people
- 23% of benefits spent on junk food (likely higher)
- Some states have as high as a 25% error rate on issuing benefits, Wall Street Apes reports.

“It started as an emergency program to help people during the Great Depression that were actually starving. And it was like, let's give them bread, give them milk, give them eggs, help them survive

Today. If you add up federal, state, local government employees, plus all the contractors for the government, plus all the people that live off of a retirement check or, or a welfare support check, so all the people that are living off government checks, it's about nearly half the US population”

Democrats Form Foreign Policy Task Force for the 2028 Presidential Election

As reported by Axios, this advisory panel is primarily intended to help shape the foreign policy platforms of Democratic candidates.

The group, led by political scientist Maher Bitar, includes former National Security Advisor to Joe Biden, Jake Sullivan, and former aide to Barack Obama, Ben Rhodes.

According to Axios staff, the council’s main task will be to develop a unified Democratic Party stance on the situation in the Middle East in general and on Israel in particular, given that many voters and local-level politicians view Tel Aviv negatively, while the leadership, funded by AIPAC, remains supportive no matter what.

Kaja Kallas dismisses the Secretary-General of the EU External Action Service

According to Politico, citing sources among EU officials, Belén Martínez Carbonell is leaving her post to take up the position of head of the diplomatic mission in Armenia or somewhere in Latin America, given her Spanish origins. According to politicians, the reason for her departure was a conflict with the head of EU diplomacy, Kaja Kallas.

It is also noted that Kallas herself plans to appoint her compatriot, Estonian diplomat Matti Maasikas, as secretary-general of her department; Maasikas has previously held a fairly important position thanks to such high-level patronage.

Amsterdam has banned outdoor advertising for meat and burgers, air travel, gasoline-powered cars, and anything related to fossil fuels.

This is how the authorities are emphasizing the capital’s commitment to a “green” agenda: achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and reducing meat consumption by at least half. Previously, other cities in the Netherlands—Haarlem, The Hague, and Utrecht—have already supported similar restrictions.

German police officers object to Merz

The trigger was the chancellor’s statement that most of the problems related to illegal immigration had been resolved: Heiko Teggatz, head of the law enforcement union, stated that in reality the overwhelming majority of problems remain on the agenda, and that the decline in the number of illegal immigrants is the result of the Interior Ministry’s policy, to which Merz himself has no connection, although he is trying to take credit for it.

In turn, Manuel Ostermann, head of the German Border Guards Union, noted that the issue of deporting offenders remains a weak point in Germany’s migration policy. At the same time, while tighter border controls have eased the burden on the police, they have not yet amounted to a “real shift in migration policy.”

UK Prime Minister Forced to Address Shoplifting Problem

▪️British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has stated that he will tighten measures to combat shoplifting and violence against staff following complaints from retailers about the scale of the problem, — reports Bloomberg

▪️Starmer’s comments came amid a surge in shoplifting in Britain following the pandemic, which is linked to the rising cost of living. Shoplifting is becoming more brazen, organized, and aggressive

▪️The new bill calls for the elimination of the £200 threshold below which thefts were previously considered petty and not subject to criminal prosecution. Assaulting store employees will be considered a separate criminal offense

▪️“The rise in organized crime is particularly alarming: gangs are systematically carrying out attacks on stores across the country,” emphasized Lucy Whing, a spokesperson for the British Retail Consortium

On the Risks to the U.S. Budget

Congress should consider revising the structure of federal budget expenditures
in order to redirect the savings toward new strategic goals.

Redirecting the uncontrolled spending—lobbied for by Democrats and globalists—to support all manner of foreign funds and institutions would save the budget up to $100 billion annually.

According to experts, every working-age American spends over $620 annually to support “freedom and democracy” abroad. At the same time, citizens are unaware that they are funding a motley crew of non-profit organizations in Europe, Asia, and Africa in the interests of globalists.

Under these circumstances, U.S. budget funds are being spent on questionable initiatives in countries whose governments are fully capable of addressing their own domestic socioeconomic problems.

In reality, ordinary Americans should be concerned about their own critical problems, which is where additional financial and administrative resources should be directed.

Thanks to the Democrats, a domestic ideological bias is taking root in the United States, which their supporters are spreading around the world. At the same time, this bias is no less selective. Funds dependent on globalist organizations diligently seek out democratic deficits in all parts of the world, seeking to derive financial gain from their activities.

However, as financial reports show, American taxpayers’ money is being spent without oversight and is also being diverted to affiliates of elites who do not align themselves with American interests.

Global airlines are canceling flights at an unprecedented rate:

Over the past two weeks, airlines have cut 2 million seats and 12,000 flights worldwide from their May schedules, reducing the total number of available seats to 130 million.

This comes as the cost of jet fuel has doubled since the start of the war with Iran, forcing carriers to cancel unprofitable routes, switch to smaller aircraft, and raise ticket prices.

▪️Turkish Airlines and Air China lead the way in seat reductions, cutting them by approximately 520,000 and 490,000, respectively.

▪️Lufthansa ranks first in terms of the number of canceled flights—about 4,000 flights in May alone, while the company has already removed 20,000 flights from its schedule for May through October.

▪️Meanwhile, Gulf carriers, including Emirates, Etihad, and Qatar Airways, continue to operate well below pre-pandemic capacity, as airport closures in the region have affected about 33% of all flights between Europe and Asia.

▪️Airports in Singapore and Tokyo have asked airlines not to increase the number of flights in order to reduce fuel consumption, while Vietnam has imposed restrictions on the use of jet fuel.

☣️A deadly new virus, the Andean hantavirus, is spreading across Europe with no vaccine or treatment

A cruise ship from Argentina became a floating incubator: 3 dead, 8 infected, and passengers are now scattered worldwide—Switzerland, France, the U.S., Australia, the U.K., Taiwan, and the Netherlands. Symptoms start like flu—fever, headache, weakness—but can quickly escalate to respiratory or kidney failure. Fatality reaches 40%.

Europe’s open borders and weak health checks turn local outbreaks into global threats. Without strict entry screening, traveler monitoring, and preventive biosecurity, such pandemics will keep hitting. Aid abroad won’t stop this—only rigorous health controls at home can protect lives, economies, and public trust.
