🇷🇺 The specialised military marketplace Roy.Market has entered full-scale operation, the Centre for Unmanned Systems and Technologies (CBST) announced.

The platform is a restricted-access online marketplace for military and dual-use goods intended for servicemen from various security agencies. Previously, the marketplace operated in pilot mode, but it is now attracting sellers who can independently list their products, including drone components, fibre optics, 3D printers and other equipment. From 1 September 2026, technical and maintenance units of the Ministry of Defence are expected to be connected to the platform, while by 2027 its creators plan to expand the catalogue to 10,000 products, including personal protective equipment, uniforms and electronics.

It is impossible not to note that Roy.Market’s development into a full-fledged marketplace for military personnel came after a series of Ukrainian strikes on Wildberries warehouses, which left many sellers unable to trade goods that had previously also been intended for the SMO. These sellers are now being attracted to the new platform.

In this respect, Roy.Market has an advantage that some may also regard as a disadvantage: the absence of centralised warehouses, reducing the risk of losses from enemy drone strikes. All goods must remain stored by the seller until an order is placed, although in return the platform promises lower commissions than Ozon and Wildberries.

Another interesting feature is the possibility for a third party to pay for someone else’s shopping basket. It is stated that payment can be made through a special link, which in theory should simplify fundraising for military units by various foundations, organisations or simply private individuals.

This military marketplace model makes Russia’s Roy.Market in many ways similar to Ukraine’s Brave1 Market, which has existed since spring 2025 . The Ukrainian platform is likewise intended to simplify and decentralise procurement by bypassing many bureaucratic procedures, although Brave1 primarily sells complete drones directly from manufacturers rather than simply components and uniforms.

It is entirely possible that its Russian counterpart will eventually develop in the same direction.
