This is mostly due to overwhelming propaganda and harsh punishments for people who don't comply. Rejecting White guilt leads to job termination, debanking, unpersoning, or even jail time in some Western countries. It's also because a lot of people are status-hungry and vomiting up White guilt propaganda is created mostly by rich, powerful, influential people. It's a way to distinguish yourself from the plebs - "I'm not like those White people."
