Freeland announced on Monday that she was expanding Canada's anti "terrorist funding" laws to cover crowdsourcing platforms and cryptocurrency, and to allow private banks to freeze or close Canadian citizens' personal bank accounts without a court order. Banks will be protected against any lawsuits. So, I misunderstood the document's retarded numbering system (apparently I wasn't the only one — I blame Maxime Bernier's Twitter post but my fault for not reading it properly).
The actual phrasing of the document is that "protected groups" can *enter* into Canada to participate in the illegal protests outlawed by the document. I assume this means that "protected groups" already residing in Canada cannot protest, but groups entering the country can protest?
Regardless, it seems that foreign "protected groups" (browns and gays) are still exempt via this bizarre loophole.
