❗️IAEA to hold emergency board meeting over Israeli strikes on Iran

The UN’s nuclear watchdog will convene a special session of its Board of Governors to address Israel’s attack on Iran, diplomats told Reuters on Friday.

The emergency meeting was requested by Iran and backed by board members Russia, China, and Venezuela during the agency’s regular quarterly session. While Iran is not currently a board member, any state on the board may formally call for such a meeting under IAEA rules.

International Atomic Energy Agency head Rafael Grossi states that the radiation levels at Natanz remain normal.

He also added that the Fordow enrichment facility and another nuclear site in Isfahan were not affected.
