The first 10 F-16s (out of a total of 79) arrived in #Ukraine at the end of July. #Ukraine is expected to have 20 by the end of 2024 — The Economist

The rest of the promised F-16s, led by #Denmark and the #Netherlands, will arrive in #Ukraine during 2025.

The first trial of 33-year-old Hasna, an ISIS supporter accused of performing slave labor in Syria, has begun in the #Netherlands.

In 2015, she traveled to #Syria with her four-year-old son, joined ISIS, married a militant and had three more children.

Hasna is accused of exploiting two women as slaves, being a member of #ISIS and creating a "powerless situation" for her autistic son who had no access to education

⛽️🇪🇺💸🇷🇺 Russia maintains its position as one of the three largest gas suppliers to Europe, along with Norway and the US — Bloomberg

In October, the EU purchased gas from Russia for 1.3 billion euros, which is 21% more than in October 2023
Thus, #Russia became the second gas supplier to the #EU in October with a share of 21.2% — #Algeria is in 1st place

🔹EU countries paid €701.5 million for LNG from Russia in October, which is 28% more than in September 2024 and 26% more than in October 2023
The main importers were:
🇫🇷 #France (€366 million - the maximum since December 2022)
🇪🇸 #Spain (€141.5 million)
🇳🇱 #Netherlands (€93.6 million).
🇧🇪 #Belgium reduced its purchase of LNG from Russia by almost half - to €73.1 million.

🔸 Russian pipeline gas imports, on the contrary, fell to a minimum since June 2024 (€603 million)
The leaders in purchases were:
🇭🇺 #Hungary (€231 million - the maximum since January 2024),
🇬🇷 #Greece (€150 million)
🇸🇰 #Slovakia (€124 million).
🇮🇹 #Italy reduced gas imports from Russia to a minimum since the beginning of the year — €85 million.

⚠️According to the RePower EU program, the European Union intended to reduce its dependence on Russian oil and gas by 2/3 by the end of 2022 and reduce it to zero by the end of 2027.
At the same time, the cost of purchasing Russian LNG for the EU has increased by 150% in three years due to an increase in prices and volumes of LNG supplies
