- 0.5–0.75% on deposits beyond Rs 25,000.
- 0.65% on withdrawals after Rs 10,000 a month and 1.8% on IRCTC payments.

For Airtel it’s recurring revenue and steady engagement.
For end users, “safety” becomes a paid service.

So BSNL did not raise its prepaid prices it changed something more fundamental: time.

The Rs 1499 plan now lasts 300 days instead of 336.
The Rs 599 plan - 70 days instead of 84.
Even the Rs 197 plan loses 6 days of validity.

It’s not about charging more, it’s about charging smarter.
The benefits remain the same, but the days don’t.
