The tool automatically upgrades video quality to 1080p, even for uploads originally in 240p. Original files remain unchanged, and creators can opt out if they wish.

Later, YouTube plans to boost quality to 4K and refresh thumbnails with ultra-sharp previews.

Next year is going to be both interesting & confusing for flagship smartphones.

- Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5: Phones with true flagship-level specifications. Most expensive.

- Snapdragon 8 Elite (2025): Devices with mid-range level specs or inferior models of latest flagships.

- Snapdragon 8 Elite (2024): Flagship phones with better specs than current mid-range models. Still some great devices.

- Snapdragon 8 Gen 5: Mysterious product with no info about its market positioning.

All you need to know about CNAP 👇

TRAI has given the green light to the CNAP portal, a system similar to Truecaller that displays the caller’s name even if they’re not saved in your contacts.

Unlike Truecaller, it will fetch details directly from the KYC database and work without internet. Currently, it’s being tested in Haryana by Jio and Vodafone Idea, with a PAN India rollout expected by March 2026.

Samsung to Hold ‘AI-Focused’ Galaxy Unpacked Event in San Francisco on February 25 for Galaxy S26

Samsung Electronics will hold its “Galaxy Unpacked” event on February 25 next year in San Francisco, USA.

According to industry sources on the 2nd, Samsung has confirmed the unveiling of its next-generation flagship smartphone, the “Galaxy S26” series (hereafter referred to as S26), in San Francisco on February 25 and has begun preparations for the event. A source familiar with Samsung’s plans said, “Samsung is preparing its first San Francisco Unpacked in three years since the S23 in 2023,” adding, “As San Francisco has emerged as the hub of AI (artificial intelligence) technology, it’s the perfect location for Samsung—the pioneer of the AI smartphone era—to hold its event.”

While Samsung has typically held its Unpacked events between late January and early February, this year’s schedule has been adjusted to late February. Industry observers attribute the change to adjustments in the product lineup. Samsung had initially planned to replace the base model with a “Pro” version and introduce an “Edge” model instead of the “Plus.” However, following the disappointing performance of the previous S25 Edge, the company decided to maintain its three-model lineup consisting of the Base, Plus, and Ultra variants.
