๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ด๐Ÿ‡ฒโšก๏ธ โ€” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei says environmental protections must form an integral part of any future arrangement governing the Strait of Hormuz, citing recent oil pollution along the shores of Qeshm Island.

Baghaei said preliminary evidence points to a foreign bulk carrier as the source of the spill, with contamination detected at three coastal locations and across parts of the surrounding waters.

He said decades of pollution and military activity have caused trillions of dollars in environmental damage to Iranโ€™s coastal areas, arguing that all parties benefiting from shipping through the Strait of Hormuz have a legal and moral responsibility to help repair and compensate for the damage.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ทโšก๏ธ โ€” U.S. intelligence officials were skeptical of the Iranian assassination threat against President Trump that was provided by Israel to the CIA and prompted his secret departure from Ankara, Tรผrkiye, last month, WaPo reports.

The intelligence was described as โ€œIsraeli-derivedโ€ and โ€œlow confidence,โ€ with CIA analysts finding it unconvincing. Some U.S. officials also believed Israel may have shared the warning partly to influence Trumpโ€™s regional policy and his growing ties with Tรผrkiye.

Despite those doubts, the Secret Service took no chances, secretly transferring Trump from Air Force One by catering truck to a C-32A, which flew him to Britain under F-16 escort.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ทโšก๏ธ โ€” U.S. and Israeli intelligence indicated that Iranian proxies were plotting to target President Trumpโ€™s aircraft with a lightweight shoulder-fired missile as he departed Ankara, Tรผrkiye, following the NATO summit last month, WSJ reports.

Some U.S. officials considered the alleged plot implausible since there was no evidence the suspected militants possessed the necessary missile system in Ankara, while Turkish officials later said they found no evidence Trump had been in danger.

Despite the doubts, the Secret Service implemented a decoy operation, secretly moving Trump by catering truck from Air Force One to a smaller military aircraft, which flew him out of Tรผrkiye without broadcasting its position.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ทโšก๏ธ โ€” BREAKING: Multiple sailors aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln have attempted to jump overboard as its crew faces mounting mental health pressures during the extended deployment supporting operations against Iran, The Guardian reports. The carrierโ€™s roughlyโ€ฆ
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ทโšก๏ธ โ€” NEW: Text messages from a service member aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, obtained by journalist Aaron Parnas, highlight dire conditions during the carrierโ€™s prolonged deployment linked to operations against Iran, including shortages of fresh food and basic supplies.

The sailor said they had not had milk in three months and that the ship had received virtually "nothing fresh but meat," because it could be frozen. Fresh fruit and other food cannot survive the lengthy supply journey, with some shipments arriving "rotten."

The service member described the deployment as "the worst one," saying even sailors with extensive deployment experience considered it their worst "and believe it can get worse than this." They also expressed frustration over repeatedly extended time at sea and being kept away from their family longer than expected.

The sailor said another crew member he met in the smoke pit had suggested the deployment is โ€œan experimentโ€ by the government to determine how far it could "push sailorsโ€™ limits of being out to sea with the worst experience."

๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ“ž๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท โ€” Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi urged Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to ensure vessels can pass freely and safely through the Strait of Hormuz without additional charges or transit fees during a phone call on Wednesday.

Takaichi also expressed โ€œdeep concernโ€ over the situation in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and called on Iran to urge the Houthis (Ansarallah) in Yemen to exercise restraint, citing concerns over energy security. Pezeshkian said Iran was working toward a solution while maintaining dialogue with Saudi Arabia.

She further called for a rapid reduction in regional military tensions and expressed hope that Iran and the U.S. would soon reach a final agreement, including on Tehranโ€™s nuclear program.

๐Ÿ‡ด๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆโšก๏ธ โ€” Oman and Saudi Arabia recently launched the โ€œSecure Green Land Corridor,โ€ connecting the two countries through the Empty Quarter.

The route includes roughly 564 km of highway on the Saudi side, built at a cost of around $533 million, and is designed to reduce transportation costs, accelerate cargo transit, and provide an overland alternative that bypasses key maritime chokepoints.

The project took more than 3.3 million working hours to complete and involved around 750 pieces of heavy equipment specifically selected for the harsh conditions of the Empty Quarter.

Construction required removing roughly 150 million cubic meters of sand, laying 12 million cubic meters of sand-protection material, and using around one million cubic meters of asphalt.

It doesnโ€™t happen in the halls of the Pentagon. It doesnโ€™t happen in the halls of Congress.

It happens in training centers like this, with Americans like thisโ€”who do really difficult things in really tough places.

Thatโ€™s what weโ€™re doing with the ACCC out here with PANAMAX: expanding peace through strength in our hemisphere, right here in the jungles with our partners, in a way that SOUTCOM just wasnโ€™t doing 18 months ago.

There was a whole different set of priorities not focused on the Western Hemisphere, not focused on securing the homeland, not focused on making sure we go after drug traffickers and designated terrorist organizations.

Under President Trump, we know exactly what that mission looks like.

Today, we launched the motto of the ACCC, which is "We do bad things to bad people."

For too long, bad people did bad things to good people inside the United States of America and across Central and South America.

We are going to empower great Americans and great partners to do really good stuff and be very capable at bringing violence against drug cartels and designated terrorist organizations because we're dead serious about securing the homeland.

We will not allow foreign malign influence to take over key terrain, like the Panama Canal.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณโšก๏ธ โ€” The U.S. Justice Department has charged 11 people over a decade-long sham marriage scheme that helped mostly Chinese nationals obtain legal immigration status in the U.S.

Foreign nationals paid six facilitators as much as $100,000 to arrange marriages with U.S. citizens, who were paid up to $30,000 to participate. Those involved allegedly then helped the couples file paperwork with the Department of Homeland Security to secure lawful permanent residency.

Authorities say the operation arranged around 1,000 fraudulent marriages over roughly a decade. Attorney General Todd Blanche described it as "one of the largest marriage fraud prosecutions in U.S. history."
