A short while ago, an initial report was received regarding a shooting toward IDF soldiers operating in the Ramim Ridge area. The soldiers returned fire and eliminated a terrorist in the area.

No IDF injuries were reported. The incident is ongoing.

IDF soldiers are continuing to conduct searches in the area, with Israeli Air Force aircraft operating overhead after being dispatched to the scene.

We have already made it clear that the war in Ukraine will not be resolved on the battlefield.

We are witnessing a war of attrition, and no matter how much weaponry is amassed, the only result is the loss of human lives. It is time to sit down at the negotiating table.

The victim was identified as Jesse Braswell, a Boatswain’s Mate Seaman from Colorado. The incident occurred at approximately 5:15 a.m., according to the U.S. Navy.

Authorities said a sailor has been placed in pretrial confinement in connection with Braswell’s death, though no charges have yet been filed as the investigation remains ongoing.
