Wiles has grown frustrated with some of President Trump's recent personnel decisions, including the elevation of Bill Pulte and the nomination of Todd Blanche. She opposed Pulte's appointment and previously sought his dismissal following the controversy surrounding the AI-generated image depicting Trump as Jesus, which apparently was Pulte's idea to post on Truth Social.

Wiles, who disclosed an early-stage breast cancer diagnosis in March, has been undergoing treatment while continuing her duties.
