Iran will give a harsh, painful, and unprecedented response to any aggression against the Strait of Hormuz and hostile entry into the Persian Gulf and, by breaking the naval blockade, will initiate serious countermeasures.

One of Iran's strategic and warning options if this trend continues is the possibility of withdrawing from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), which will have severe consequences for the opposing side.

Tehran insists that part of its frozen assets must be released and made fully accessible immediately upon the announcement of any agreement.

Iran also maintains that it has not yet made commitments regarding the technical details of the nuclear issue and therefore does not consider the initial release of funds to be tied to uranium or nuclear material arrangements.

The failure to release frozen assets at the outset would cross one of Tehran’s stated “red lines” and would prevent any agreement from being reached.

The United States condemns in the strongest terms Hezbollah's reckless call to overthrow Lebanon’s democratically elected government.

Hezbollah has ignored repeated calls from the legitimate Government of Lebanon to cease its attacks and respect a ceasefire. Instead, it has continued firing on Israeli positions and moving fighters and weapons into southern Lebanon. This is a deliberate campaign to destabilize the country and maintain its power at the expense of the future of the Lebanese people.

The Government of Lebanon is working to deliver recovery, reconstruction, international assistance, and a stable future for its citizens with the full support of the United States. Hizballah, by contrast, is actively trying to drag Lebanon back into chaos and destruction.

The footage shows strikes against multiple Israeli military assets, including at least two Merkava Mk4 tanks, armored bulldozers, Humvees, fuel trucks, a SATCOM system, and fortified positions used by Israeli forces.

The video also shows Israeli forces using protective netting over buildings in an effort to intercept FPV drones, while infantry presence appeared limited as troops avoided prolonged exposure in open areas.

According to Hezbollah, the attacks ultimately forced Israeli troops to withdraw from the town.

Iran would remove naval mines and permit unrestricted commercial shipping through the strait, while the U.S. would end its naval blockade of Iranian ports and allow Iran to resume oil exports.

The proposed agreement is intended as an initial framework for future negotiations rather than a final deal.

Iran’s missile program and uranium enrichment are not part of the current arrangement and would be addressed in separate talks later. Nuclear-related negotiations are expected to take place within 30 to 60 days after the agreement is reached.

The proposal still requires approval from President Trump and Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, which could take days.

Iranian negotiators working with the U.S. have struggled to communicate within their own system, contributing to delays in responses to proposed deal terms and broader negotiations.

Officials said messages sent by Washington can take significant time to reach the supreme leader, whose replies are also delayed because information is passed through multiple intermediaries rather than direct communication channels.

One official said U.S. and Israeli intelligence operations during the war enabled the identification and targeting of large parts of Iran’s senior leadership, leading many Iranian officials to remain inside fortified bunkers and sharply limit contact with one another.

Even senior members of the Iranian government do not know the supreme leader’s location or have direct access to him. Instead, he communicates broad negotiating instructions through trusted intermediaries, specifying which issues can be discussed and which remain off limits.

ECB supervisory board vice-chair Frank Elderson said the central bank convened an unusual ad hoc meeting with lenders to discuss how rapidly evolving AI capabilities could expose vulnerabilities across the financial system.

Elderson warned that AI-powered tools could dramatically reduce the time needed to exploit software vulnerabilities, saying attackers may now be able to reverse-engineer security patches within minutes rather than weeks. He urged banks to significantly speed up the deployment of software updates and cyber defenses.

The ECB is also encouraging U.S. banks already using advanced AI systems to share lessons and security insights with European counterparts.

Calling the situation “game-changing,” Elderson warned that malicious actors could soon gain access to similar technologies and stressed that “the clock is ticking.”
