I welcome the progress towards an agreement between the US and Iran.

We need to see an agreement that brings the conflict to an end and reopens the Strait of Hormuz, with unconditional and unrestricted freedom of navigation. It’s vital that Iran must never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon.

My government will continue to do everything we can to protect British people from the impact of this conflict.

We will work with our international partners to seize this moment and achieve a long-term diplomatic settlement.

It was a heavy strike. 90 missiles of various types. Many of them were ballistic — 36. And 600 drones.

Unfortunately, not all the ballistic missiles could be shot down. The most hits were in Kyiv, and Kyiv itself was the main target of this Russian attack.

Putin can't even pronounce the word “hurrah” normally anymore — he slurs his words, yet he is still defeating residential buildings with his missiles.

He launched his Oreshnik against Bila Tserkva. Well, he is truly unhinged.

It is important that this does not pass without consequences for Russia.

During a call with President Trump last night, Prime Minister Netanyahu stressed that Israel will preserve freedom of action against threats across all fronts, including Lebanon, and Trump supported that position.

Trump also reiterated that he will maintain his demand for the dismantling of Iran’s nuclear program and the removal of all enriched uranium from Iranian territory, saying no final deal will be signed without those conditions.

No international waterway, no international airspace should ever be used or nationalized by any country in the world.

That should never be accepted as a new normal.

Suffice it to say that some progress has been made, significant progress, although not final progress has been made.

They don't own the Strait of Hormuz. It's an international waterway. What they are doing now is threatening to destroy commercial vessels using an international waterway.

If we allowed that to become normal, we would be setting a dangerous precedent that can be replicated in multiple places around the world.

The idea that somehow this President is going to agree to a deal that ultimately winds up putting Iran in a stronger position when it comes to nuclear ambitions is absurd. That's just not going to happen.

Perhaps over the next few hours the world will get some good news at least with regards to the Straits and with regards to a process that can ultimately leave us where the President wants us to be.

I don't want to downplay that, but I also want to caveat it by saying we still have some work to do.

Every country in the world has stupid people.

I'm sure there are stupid people here; there are stupid people in the United States that make dumb comments all the time.

I don't know what else to tell you other than the United States is a very welcoming country.

— U.S. sanctions waivers to allow Iran to sell oil freely.
— Iran negotiating over the removal of its stockpile of highly enriched uranium.
— The U.S. negotiating possible sanctions relief and unfreezing Iranian funds during the 60-day period.
— U.S. forces that were mobilized in recent months would stay in the region during the 60-day period and only withdraw if a final deal is reached.
— The end of the Israel-Hezbollah war under the framework of the agreement (U.S. official: "If Hezbollah behaves, Israel will behave.")

Certainly, we and the negotiation team will never compromise the dignity and pride of the country.

We are ready to assure the world that we are not seeking nuclear weapons.

We are not seeking unrest in the region; the troublemaker in the region is Israel, which pursues the Greater Israel plan and conspires in various ways to keep war, unrest, and discord alive in the region.

The draft instead refers to “ending the war on all fronts,” including in Lebanon.

The still-unfinalized text sets a 30-day period to address issues related to the Strait of Hormuz and the naval blockade, while negotiations over nuclear matters would continue within a separate 60-day timeframe.
