Four weeks ago, CENTCOM began implementing the blockade against ships entering and exiting Iran’s ports.

As of today, American forces have redirected 67 commercial vessels, allowed 15 supporting humanitarian aid to pass, and disabled 4 to ensure compliance.

Earlier this week, CENTCOM forces ensured that 2 commercial vessels turned around to comply with the blockade after communicating via radio and firing warning shots from small arms, clearly demonstrating that U.S. enforcement remains in full effect.

The entire global economy is obviously affected by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, but the African continent is affected especially.

Several countries have increased their fuel prices by more than 30%, along with massive increases in their fertilizer and risks of rupture in the coming months, which puts food security at risk.

In the face of this, we must support the African economy even more.

In clear attempt to sow discord, Kuwait has unlawfully attacked an Iranian boat and detained 4 of our citizens in the Persian Gulf. This illegal act took place near island used by the U.S. to attack Iran.
