We're not at war with Greenland. We have no intention of being it.

We have no reason to be at war with Greenland.

All this stuff about military action and all that, I don't even think that's a possibility. I don't think anybody's seriously considering that. In the Congress, we're certainly not.

I'm not here to talk about Denmark or military intervention.

I'll be meeting with them next week. We'll have those conversations with them.

They are not generating any revenue from their oil right now. They can't move it unless we allow it to move, because we have sanctions, because we're enforcing those sanctions.

This is tremendous leverage. We are exercising it in a positive way.

We have a three-fold process in Venezuela:

Step one is the stabilization of the country. We are going to take between 30 and 50 million barrels of oil. We are going to sell it in the marketplace at market rates. We will control how that money is dispersed in a way that benefits the Venezuelan people, not corruption, not the regime.

The second phase will be recovery, ensuring that American, Western, and other countries have access to Venezuelan markets in a way that's fair.

The third phase will be one of transition. Some of this will overlap. We feel like we're moving forward here in a very positive way.

With respect to Venezuela, the Trump administration, led by Secretary Rubio, the Vice President, and the President's entire national security team, is in close correspondence with the interim authorities in Venezuela.

We obviously have maximum leverage over the interim authorities in Venezuela right now

President Trump reserves the right to use the United States military if necessary. It's not something he wants to do: diplomacy is always the first option.

As you saw, he tried that with Nicolás Maduro, but unfortunately he was an illegitimate dictator and an unserious person.

And so President Trump authorized this law enforcement operation, and now Nicolás Maduro is sitting in a prison cell in New York.

This was a Venezuelan Shadow Fleet vessel that has transported sanctioned oil. The United States of America, under this President, is not going to tolerate that.

The crew is now subject to prosecution for any applicable violation of federal law, and they will be brought to the US for such prosecution if necessary.

I personally think that we ought to be active in pursuing Greenland.

Denmark’s claims are nebulous.

People sort of skip over that page in history of their claims to Greenland.

Greenland has an incredible strategic value and critical minerals.

China and Russia are operating off the coast of Greenland.

Denmark is not capable of protecting Greenland.

We have a very keen interest in Greenland.

The incident was a direct consequence of constant attacks and demonization of our officers by sanctuary politicians who fuel and encourage rampant assaults on our law enforcement, who are facing a 1,300% increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats.

It was an act of domestic terrorism. What happened was our ICE officers were out in enforcement action.

They got stuck in the snow because of the adverse weather that is in Minneapolis. They were attempting to push out their vehicle and a woman attacked them and those surrounding them and attempted to run them over and ram them with her vehicle.

An officer of ours acted quickly and defensively shot to protect himself and the people around him and my understanding is that she was hit and is deceased.

We're continuing to gather more information but this goes to show the assaults that our ICE officers and our law enforcement are under every single day.

We're going to continue to do our work. The act we saw today of using a vehicle to try to kill an officer and his colleagues and the other people around him is something that every politician, every elected official, and everyone in this country should be able to rally around and say that it is wrong.

Domestic acts of terrorism like this will not stand, and I'm grateful that we have the leadership in Washington, DC, that recognizes it, and we'll make sure that it's working to keep every single community safe regardless of who's in charge in that city.
