➡️ The contractor who shared the footage said he witnessed his colleagues firing at Palestinians who had just collected food and were departing the area.

🇸🇾❗️ Last night, Syrian authorities destroyed the "Mother of Martyrs" statue in Aleppo’s Saadallah al-Jabiri Square, claiming it was to be relocated for renovations, but "accidentally" destroyed it instead.

➡️ While officials say the move was logistical, fundamentalist voices had previously labeled the statue "blasphemous."

➡️ The statue, created in 1985 by sculptor Abdul Rahman Mowakket from Aleppo stone, honors Syrians killed in conflicts, particularly those who resisted French colonialism. The monument was widely regarded as a powerful symbol of sacrifice and collective memory in Aleppo.
