➡️ U.S. envoy Thomas Barrack delivered the document on June 19, requesting a formal response by July 1.

➡️ The proposal outlines a phased process of disarmament, Israeli troop withdrawal from southern Lebanon, and steps to improve relations between Lebanon and Syria, along with financial reforms.

➡️ Lebanese officials, including representatives from the offices of Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, President Joseph Aoun, and Speaker Nabih Berri (a Hezbollah ally), are drafting a response.

🇷🇺📞🇫🇷 Russian President Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron held a detailed phone conversation for the first time in almost three years.

➡️ They discussed the Iran–Israel tensions and U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites. Both emphasized the responsibility of UN Security Council members to uphold peace and the nuclear non-proliferation regime. They supported Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy and stressed resolving regional issues through diplomacy.

➡️ They agreed that the Iranian nuclear crisis must be settled politically and diplomatically, and pledged to maintain dialogue to possibly coordinate positions.

➡️ Putin blamed the West for provoking the Ukraine conflict by ignoring Russia’s security concerns and arming Kyiv. He reiterated that any peace agreement must address the root causes of the war, recognize new territorial realities, and be comprehensive and long-term.

➡️ The Kremlin described the call as “substantive.”
