Civilized Syria has become alien to its glorious history, far removed from its authenticity, and lagging behind the ranks of nations.

Yet, in Idlib, glory and under the blessed Syrian revolution, the future of a new Syria was being built.

The country was liberated, and the people rejoiced, along with our brothers in neighboring countries and even the entire world.

The spirit of belonging returned to our people, and the people's eagerness for their new state became clearly evident.

Sister countries and their peoples were keen to share the joy of the Syrians, and a window of hope began to appear, overlooking a promising future.

However, Syria is burdened by the burdens and groans of the past.

Over the past six months, we have set priorities for addressing the bitter reality that Syria was experiencing, and we worked day and night, from preserving internal unity and civil peace, to imposing security and confiscating weapons, to forming the government and the electoral commission.

The constitutional declaration was made, the national conference was held, unjust laws were abolished, the market was liberalized, the institutional situation was assessed, and deficiencies were identified and solutions were found.

All of this was accompanied by shuttle diplomacy by Syrian diplomacy to introduce the new reality in Syria.

I visited Riyadh several months ago and met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

He promised me that he would do his utmost to lift sanctions on Syria, and I saw great love in his eyes and in the eyes of his people.

Then I visited Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has stood with the Syrian people and endured much over the past fourteen years, hosting millions of Syrians despite all the burdens they have borne.

I also saw love, friendship, joy, and a complete readiness for Syria to stand on its own two feet.

Then he visited me, and I visited Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, who has been patient with the Syrian people in a stance that will be recorded in history.

Since the moment of liberation, he has stood by us.

Then I visited Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, who quickly opened the doors of the United Arab Emirates to his Syrian brothers and expressed his complete readiness to do whatever is necessary for Syria to rise again.

The first to congratulate us was King Hamad bin Isa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as our brothers in Kuwait and the Sultan of Oman.

I will not forget King Abdullah bin Al Hussein of Jordan, his warm welcome and the Kingdom's position on pressing issues.

Likewise, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt.

I saw in his eyes his keenness on the renaissance and reconstruction of Syria, as well as Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Sudan, and our brothers in happy Yemen, and President Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, who expressed his desire to restore Syrian-Iraqi relations.

Then came our meeting with President Macron, who expressed his early willingness to lift sanctions on Syria, along with key European Union countries such as Germany, Italy, and Spain.

Britain also rushed to lift sanctions on beloved Syria.

People, your unity, your love for your country, your sacrifices for it, your expression of joy for the new Syria, and your rallying around its leadership have had a significant impact on world opinion.

Today, I am not only celebrating the lifting of sanctions on Syria, but our joy lies in the sincere brotherhood and the return of fervent feelings among the peoples of the region.

Unity of decision and direction cannot be disappointed by God.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman has fulfilled his promise, President Erdogan has fulfilled his love, Prince Tamim has fulfilled his loyalty, Sheikh bin Zayed has fulfilled his eagerness, and all the other rulers have fulfilled their feelings.

President Trump responded to all this love by deciding to lift the sanctions. His decision to lift sanctions was historic and courageous.

Fellow Syrians, we still have a long way to go. Today, serious work has begun, and with it, the renaissance of modern Syria has begun.

Let us build Syria together toward progress, prosperity, knowledge, and work.

We will not allow the division of Syria or the fragmentation of our people.

Syria is for all Syrians, regardless of their sects or ethnicities. Our strength lies in our unity, and we will never forget our martyrs and wounded.
