Donald Trump doesn't know how anything works.

Donald Trump is this caricature that had a reality TV show that pretended like he knew how to run businesses. The reality is, he doesn't.

And look, I think he thrives in this [chaos]. And then he tells his supporters that only he can fix it. He's the guy who goes and starts the fire and then stands there and gives directions and acts like he knows how to put the fire out. He has no clue.

I’ve spent the last several weeks engaging with our partners, members of civil society, regional experts, and Syrian Canadians. This is a critical and delicate moment for Syria and Syrians.

Canada can play a meaningful role in enabling Syrians to build an inclusive country that respects all of its citizens. We also can help prevent Syria from falling into chaos and instability.

Today’s announcement is a response to the needs of Syrians and Syrian civil society. I am optimistic about Syrians’ ability to chart a bright future for all Syrians.
