#Zakharova: I cite3⃣documents. First, the decision of the Council of Heads of CIS States of 21 December 1991. By the way, Mr Kyslytsa cited this in his interview, but failed to mention that #CIS supported Russia in continuing the Soviet 🇺🇳membership, incl. permanent seat in UNSC.

#Zakharova: Second, there was a note of 26 December 1991 in which🇷🇺MFA notified the UNSG that Russia retained in full responsibility for all the rights & obligations of the USSR at🇺🇳. This document notified the #UN of the decision taken by CIS Heads of State Council on 12/21/91.

#Zakharova: The 3rd document is a circular note dated January 13, 1992, in which 🇷🇺MFA notified heads of diplomatic missions in Moscow that “Russian Federation continues to exercise the rights and fulfil the obligations arising from international treaties concluded by the #USSR.”

#Zakharova: By all means we'll publish more material about the legal grounds for #Russia's UN & #UNSC membership. We will make references to all the relevant documents to make sure that not a single permanent representative of #Ukraine will dare to utter this kind of lie anymore.
