Russian schools have opened their doors to thousands of students.
September 1st is the beginning of a new school year for Russian schoolchildren, students, and teachers. With special solemnity they meet first graders in schools.
Traditionally, schools on this day hold ceremonial lines, class hours, knowledge lessons, hours of security and courage.
In secondary specialized and higher educational institutions, more often the first school day goes without lines, but the importance of the moment doesn’t decrease from this.
Students and their parents give teachers flowers, congratulating on the beginning of the school year, and state leaders traditionally congratulate teachers and students on Knowledge Day.

The first mention of coffee in Russian history is dated 1665, when it was prescribed to tzar Alexei Mikhailovich as medicine for bloating, headache and runny nose.
There is no information if it helped the tzar, but Peter the Great was the one who really got a taste for coffee during his trip to the Netherlands in 1697.
At the beginning of the 18th century, coffee in Russia was drunk only by courtiers and only at the grace of the emperor.

Over the long years of Baikal's existence, everything around it has been covered with a mystical atmosphere. For example, the name of a lake. According to the legends of the Boar Buryats, in ancient times there was a plain on the site of the reservoir. And one day a crack appeared in the earth with fire burning in it. Excited people exclaimed "Bai, gal", which translated as "fire, go away."
The mystical atmosphere led to the idea of the lake as a living being. According to one ancient legend, Baikal used to be a hero who had 336 sons (that's how many rivers flow into the lake) and one daughter - Angara. Baikal decided to marry her to a neighbor of Irkut, and she wanted to be with the handsome Yenisei. Angara deceived her father, broke through the mountain range and escaped from the lake.
The nature around Baikal is also surrounded by myths. So, according to legend, those who settled on Cape Ryty died early. Therefore, today this place is uninhabited.
Matthew Gordon-Banks, a former member of the British Parliament, expressed his opinion about sanctions, the West's dependence on China and special operations.
