In evergreen India, children drew the Russian New Year holiday: a snowman with a carrot nose, snowflakes, a snow maiden, snow, snow, snow ... And, of course, Father Frost, a Christmas tree in shining toys and dad with mom.
In the Russian House, on the eve of the New Year, together with the Indian Association of Russian Compatriots, they summed up the results of the annual children's drawing competition. Watercolors and gouaches were dressed in baguettes made of precious woods, which made the canvases sparkle with completely new, professional shades.
There were hardly enough frames for the drawings of the pupils of the art studio of the Russian House (conducted by Ekaterina Pokrovskaya), young Indians and children of compatriots from Bangalore, Kochi and Goa, orphans of the Mala Smriti Home orphanage in the capital.
An exhibition of children's drawings will decorate the traditional New Year's Tree party in the Russian House.

Going to Russia is now Maria’s dream. It was born to this Indian schoolgirl after meeting the volunteers of the “Mission of Goodness”, conducted by Rossotrudnichestvo together with the Russian State University for the Humanities in November in New Delhi. Maria entrusted her desire to a piece of paper, preparing for the exhibition of the New Year’s drawing “My Dream 2024”.
The film “St. Basil’s Cathedral” by the Russian TV channel RT-doc made an indelible impression on the children of compatriots and Indians. The film was shown at the Russian House in October. Now the children’s drawings show a new “flight” on the route Taj Mahal – St. Basil’s Cathedral.
And Sudhard dreams of learning to skate. On canvas and with the help of paints, it seems to work. On other canvases of young talents in the Asian country, elephants and Farther Frost with a Snowman, palm trees and snowflakes now coexist.
The exhibition presents drawings by compatriots from New Delhi, Bangalore, Goa, Calcutta, Kochi, Mumbai, as well as orphans from the capital's Mala Smriti orphanage and students from the Khrist Raja Catholic school.
