A meeting of the youth club "ДРУЖБА दोस्ती" was held at the Russian House in New Delhi.

It was dedicated to the journey of two dozen young Indian artists who went to Russia, visiting monasteries, studying culture, art and architecture. During the meeting, three of the participants of the trip - Shihant Sablania, Harmandeep Singh and Shraddha Bansal - shared their impressions and told how this trip influenced their work.

Chairman of the club Aakshat Sinha emphasized that such events allow young Indians to understand Russia more deeply and play an important role in strengthening cultural ties between the two countries.

More than 100 people attended a concert of the “Lady” folklore group at the site of the Russian House in New Delhi.Balalaika virtuoso Mr Andrei Matveev performed both Russian folk works and popular international hits.
At the end of the evening, Indian guests and compatriots did not let go of the artist for a long time and were happy to hold a joint photo session.

An exhibition of Russian artist Ivan Yazikov has opened in New Delhi.
An exhibition of Russian artist Ivan Yazikov, showcasing his collection "The Book of Letters," has opened in New Delhi. This unique collection, which the artist has been working on for over 20 years, demonstrates a creative approach to the Russian alphabet.
Yazikov explores the forms and images of letters, turning them into true works of art. Each letter in his rendition is a separate story, filled with meaning and emotion.
The exhibition was curated by Indian artist Aakshat Sinha. He noted the importance of such events for strengthening cultural dialogue between Russia and India.
The "Book of Letters" exhibition will be open to the public till February, 9 in Urban Fringe Gallary.

Russia became a guest country at the International Book Fair, which opened in New Delhi. The exhibition was opened by President of India Mrs Draupadi Murmu and Russian Ambassador to India Mr Denis Alipov. After the ceremony, the guests of honor followed to the Russian stand, where they got acquainted with the exposition, which became the largest: it presents more than 50 publishing houses that brought more than 1,500 books to India, and also publishing houses of departments of three museums: the Moscow Transport Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery and the Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin. The stand program is full of events - meetings with writers and critics, representative offices of publishers, book presentations, which are hold with support of the Russian House. The Russian delegation, led by writer Alexei Varlamov, includes more than 20 cultural figures.
The solemn part of the evening was completed by a performance by students of the Ballet School at the Russian House, as well as a concert by the Lada folklore group. The International Book Fair is held in the Indian capital from February 1 to 9. The event has been held on an annual basis for more than 50 years, being one of the most significant events in the cultural sphere.

In the Russian House in New Delhi, a meeting was held between representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo in India and the Head of the international department of the publishing house "Russian Language. Courses" Mr Dmitry Silin.
During the meeting, the most popular and sought-after textbooks of the Russian language in India were identified. The parties discussed issues of cooperation with Indian publishers and universities, as well as the publishing house's work plans for 2025.

The Russian House in New Delhi hosted an interactive lecture, "The Fairytale World of A.S. Pushkin," dedicated to the legacy of the great Russian poet and writer.

The event featured Olga Levchenko, who delivered a lecture on the cultural significance of "The Tale of the Golden Cockerel" and "The Tale of the Golden Antelope." Historian and cultural expert Anna Esparza presented a film and lecture exploring Pushkin's influence on global folklore traditions. Children's author Anastasia Strokina shared insights about Russia’s mysterious and enchanting places, while Egor Tomsky introduced an interactive project, "Tsarevna: A New Approach to Fairytale Games."

Students from Sancta Maria School and the A.M. Kadakin School at the Embassy of Russia in India actively participated, engaging in discussions and posing thought-provoking questions.

Writers and cultural figures of Russia, India and Iran discussed the past, present and future of literature in the framework of the discussion "Contemporary Literature in the BRICS Countries" held at the Russian House in New Delhi,occationed with the International Book Fair, which is taking place these days in the Indian capital.The event was attended by Dr Fariddodin Farid Asr, Cultural Advisor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India, Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr Ayoub Dehghan Kar, one of the most popular contemporary Iranian authors, novelist and translator Mr Mostafa Mastoori, famous Indian writers and poets Mr Liladhar Mandloy and Mr Indrajit Singh, poet and editor of «Modern Indian Literature» magazine Mrs Sakrita Kumar, writer and translator Dr Sonu Saini, writer, journalist, editor-in-chief of the «Yunost’» magazine Mr Sergei Shargunov, director of the Museum of the History of Russian Literature named after V.I. Dal’ Dr Dmitry Bak, young Russian authors - prose writer Ms Anna Shipilova and poet Mr Vasily Natsentov, as well as translators, Russianists, representatives of the publishing houses, and book fairs. The discussion was moderated by Dr Elena Remizova, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India.
During the three-hour meeting, the participants shared their views on contemporary literature in their countries, touched upon the problems of translation and the need to understand the cultural content of the original text, noted a small number of translations by contemporary authors and low awareness of the trends in the literature of neighboring countries, discussed possible ways to popularize literature and reading culture, put forward the idea of creating a literary platform of the BRICS countries.The parties agreed to continue this format of literary discussion within the framework of the Tehran Book Fair in May and the Moscow Book Fair in September this year.
