Director of the Russian House Oleg Osipov informed about the activities conducted through the Government Commission for Compatriots Abroad in relation to compatriots and called on organizations of Russian-speaking citizens to take more active part in them.
The conference was attended by delegates from New Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Trivandrum, Chennai. The representative of the Russian Orthodox Church in India, Priest Dmitry Kulakov, and the founder of the first association of compatriots in the Asian country, the Delhi Association of Russian Compatriots (DARS, 2009), Klera Singh, spoke.

🏢 The Russian House in New Delhi together with the Russian Embassy in India and the Indian Association of Russian Compatriots (IARC) visited the “Sancta Maria” International School in Faridabad.
📚 The opening of a center for studying the Russian language at an international school took place in a solemn atmosphere. In her speech, the wife of the Russian Ambassador to India, Diana Alipova, noted that the opening of the center is now especially timely, since this year we are celebrating the 225th anniversary of A.S. Pushkin - the great Russian poet, founder of the Russian literary language.
📎 This educational institution is a partner of the Russian House and IARC. Students of “Sancta Maria” practice in the ballet studio of the Russian House with Bolshoi Theater prima Galina Vishnyakova. Russian compatriots attend master classes of Indian artists in "Sancta Maria".

🏢 The Russian animation project “Ruslan and Lyudmila” was shown at the Russian House in New Delhi.
🎬 The cartoon is based on the poem by Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, but at the same time significantly modernized.
Indian and Russian viewers appreciated the colorful drawing, fascinating plot and light humor, as well as the modern interpretation of the fairy tale with untouched epic motifs.
👥 Indian university students, children from the Mala Smriti orphanage, as well as children of Russian compatriots became visitors to the cartoon.
🍲 After watching the cartoon, employees of the Russian House together with activists of the Indian Association of Russian Compatriots organized a lunch for orphans from Mala Smriti.
👨 Director of the shelter Shaikhar Vishwas thanked the Russian House for the warm welcome, as well as for the assistance and constant support provided to the orphanage.

🏢 The opening of the exhibition “Call of the Soul” by artist and activist of the Indian Association of Russian Compatriots Klera Singh took place at the Russian House in New Delhi.
The exhibition is dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of A.S. Pushkin.
🖼 The exhibition includes more than 40 works in which the artist tries to convey the extraordinary beauty of nature, as well as the originality of life, culture of India and its people.
🏞 The exhibition turned out to be diverse, filled with bright palettes of colors and textures. The paintings are painted in oil and acrylic.
👥 Public figures and cultural figures of India, diplomats, compatriots and Indian students became visitors to the vernissage.

A round table on the topic: "Interaction of the Moscow Government with compatriots living in the Republic of India" was held at the Russian House in New Delhi.
The Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Mr Pavel Shevtsov, the Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India Dr Elena Remizova, the Counselor of the Russian Embassy in India Mrs Yulia Aryaeva, and the Chairperson of the Indian Association of Russian Compatriots (IARC) Elena Barman addressed the audience with welcoming remarks.
The round table was also attended by the Deputy Head of the Department for Work with Compatriots of the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of Moscow Mr Georgy Yakovlev, the Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of Moscow Mr Alexey Bondaruk, and the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg Mr Sergey Markov.
The Chairperson of the IARC Elena Barman introduced compatriots who have lived in India for a long time and told about their lives. Among them are musicians, artists, doctors, translators, English teachers and representatives of other professions.
During the meeting, the topic of consolidation of the Russian-speaking community was called very important. They noted the importance of promoting the Russian language, more active work with the younger generation of compatriots, and outlined plans for joint work for the next year. They especially emphasized that work with compatriots abroad remains an important and relevant area.
