In the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia there is Lake Svetloyar, in which, according to legend, the mythical Kitezh city hid. In India, there is a similar legend about the city of Krishna, Dwarka, which plunged into the depths of the sea.
Russian and Indian artists - Maxim Pridanov and Aakshat Sinha - traveled to Svetloyar, lived and painted there. The Russian painter and thinker Nicholas Roerich also worked on this topic, creating the painting “The Battle of Kerzhenets.”
On October 13 at 16:00, the exhibition “Fabulous Miracle of Existence” opens in the Russian House, dedicated to the legends of Russia and India (Kitezh and Dwarka that sank under water, others), and the Year of the Roerichs, which will be celebrated in 2024.
Maxim Pridanov is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the International Federation of Artists.
15 artists are participating from the Indian side.
We are waiting for you at the “Fabulous Miracle of Existence”.
Free admission.
