Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, is constantly attracting tourists. We tell you how to get here, what to seeand what to try!
Let's start with Kremlin Street. It's a centre of exquisite architecture: here you can immerse yourself in history and visit a couple of museums.
Be sure to take a photo against the backdrop of the majestic Ekiyat Theatre-Palace. Especially many people take photos here in summer. The adjacent territory turns into a real flower park.
Do you like to read books? Check out the literary quarter! The streets around it are named in honour of great Russian writers: Leo Tolstoy, Anton Chekhov and others. This is the most creative place in the city:
there are museums and galleries, art and music schools, the Actor's House and the Writers' Union.
Be sure to visit the national cuisine café and try echpochmak and elesh - traditional pies with potatoes and beef or chicken.

🏞 "Call of the Soul" by Klera Singh.
“I called my show “Call of the Soul” because when I paint, I’m happy and it’s like meditation. Some paintings depict mighty mountains with lakes, while others depict thickets of flowers. It is more like a walk in nature, which beautifies and enriches our lives.”
📆 On June 5 at 6:00 p.m., an exhibition of paintings by Klera Singh, a former radio presenter who worked for 54 years at All India Radio and is the first chairman of the Delhi Association of Russian Compatriots, will open in the Russian House.
🔹 This is Klera Singh's sixth solo exhibition.
🔖 “My first personal exhibition took place in 1964. The next one, many years later, in 1998. Some of my paintings are in private collections. This exhibition that I am exhibiting now appeared quite recently - during the Covid epidemic,” she said.
🔗 The exhibition is dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.
Free entry.

🏢 A master class by artist Olga Levchenko was held at the Russian House in New Delhi, dedicated to the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture.
📝 Every year at the end of May, Russia and many Eastern European countries celebrate this event. The holiday is associated with the honoring of the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles brothers Cyril and Methodius - educators of the Slavs and creators of the Slavic alphabet.
🎨 The exhibition turned out to be very diverse, and its participants used a rich palette of colors, filling their drawings with bright and non-standard color solutions. The artwork was done in pastels and watercolors.
👥 Public figures and cultural figures of India, diplomats, compatriots and Indian students attended the master class.
