Books in Russian and translated into Indian languages - a total of 500 publications - are presented in the Russian pavilion at New Delhi World Book Fair. These are Russian classics of the 19th century, and the “Soviet difficult to buy” ones of the 20th century, and colorful children's fairy tales using typographic techniques of the 21st.
– This year we have focused on translation. The Russian delegation includes writers, translators, and literary scholars,” said Evgeny Reznichenko, executive director of the Institute of Translation.
Before the opening of the book fair, its Russian participants and their Indian colleagues gathered at the Russian House in New Delhi for a conference on literary translation.

👥 Representatives of eight higher educational institutions in Russia took part in the education fair at the Russian House in New Delhi. Representatives of the state universities of Yekaterinburg, Yoshkar-Ola, Nalchik, Orenburg, Perm, Pskov, Tver and Tula gathered in the Indian capital.
🏢 Russian universities create all conditions for Indian students to study and undergo internships; teaching at universities is conducted in Russian and English; during their stay in Russia, students gain solid practical skills and establish strong personal contacts.
📊 Russia, despite Western sanctions, has increased the enrollment of foreign students in domestic universities. The growth champion is India. Over the year, the enrollment of citizens of this country in Russian universities increased by 40%.
