In Antarctica, next to the Russian station Progress stands the Indian polar station Bharati, and next to the Novolazarevskaya station there is the Indian Maitri.
The project "Memory of Antarctica" is dedicated to the search for these stories and the life of modern polar explorers.
The result of large-scale work was the film "Buromsky Island". This picture is a chronicle of the memory of polar explorers who died while working on this continent.
The author of the project is Olga Stefanova, a famous Russian traveler and documentary filmmaker. She was on seven expeditions to Antarctica, in 2020 she won the Laurel Branch National Documentary Film Award.
We invite you to watch this film on June 23 at the Russian House in New Delhi at 6:30 p.m.
Free admission.
