From June 3 to June 11, 2022, the XIV International Ballet Competition will be held in Moscow on the stage of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia
Traditionally, contestants of two age categories take part in the competition: junior (under 18 years old) and senior (under 27 years old). This year, 343 applications from 33 countries of the world were submitted to the competition, including Austria, Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, Great Britain, Germany, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, China, Russia, USA, Turkey, Sweden, Japan.
The mastery of the dancers will be assessed by an authoritative jury, which will include leading figures in the world of ballet art.
“Today there is a really active work in all key areas of preparation for the competition. The invitation campaign is gaining momentum. I am convinced that through joint efforts we will be able to accomplish an important task - to organize the most memorable International Ballet Competition dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the outstanding choreographer Yuri Grigorovich," said State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alla Manilova.
Yuri Grigorovich: “The Moscow International Ballet Competition has always had truly worldwide fame. Participants, guests, specialists from all over the world come to Moscow, to the Bolshoi Theater every four years. And each new meeting marks a new mark in the development of ballet, if you like, to a certain extent determines the world order in the art of dance. We maintain the height and attractiveness of the competition, it is still the most authoritative authority in the global competition movement.”
The founder of the competition is the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The organizer of the XIV International Ballet Competition is FGBUK ROSCONCERT.

С 3 по 11 июня 2022 года в Москве на сцене Государственного академического Большого театра России пройдет XIV Международный конкурс артистов балета
Традиционно в состязании принимают участие конкурсанты двух возрастных категорий: младшая (до 18 лет) и старшая (до 27 лет). В этом году на конкурс было подано 343 заявки из 33 стран мира, среди которых Австрия, Аргентина, Беларусь, Бразилия, Великобритания, Германия, Ирландия, Италия, Новая Зеландия, Китай, Россия, США, Турция, Швеция, Япония.
Оценивать мастерство танцовщиков будет авторитетное жюри, в состав которого войдут ведущие деятели мирового балетного искусства.
«Сегодня идет по-настоящему активная работа по всем ключевым направлениям подготовки к конкурсу. Набирает обороты пригласительная кампания. Убеждена, что совместными усилиями нам удастся выполнить важную задачу – организовать самый запоминающийся Международный конкурс артистов балета, посвященный 95-летнему юбилею выдающегося хореографа Юрия Григоровича», – отметила статс-секретарь – заместитель Министра культуры Российской Федерации Алла Манилова.
Юрий Григорович: «У Московского международного конкурса артистов балета всегда была поистине мировая слава. В Москву, в Большой театр раз в четыре года съезжаются участники, гости, специалисты со всего мира. И каждая новая встреча знаменует собой новую отметку развития балета, если хотите, в известной мере определяет мировой порядок в искусстве танца. Мы сохраняем высоту и привлекательность конкурса, он по-прежнему самая авторитетная инстанция в мировом конкурсном движении».
