In Naples, Italy, a portrait of a 19 century Russian writer Fyodor Dostoevsky appeared on the wall of the Techno-Industrial Institute, as a sign of the struggle against the growing Russophobia in Italy.

The author of the mural, the Italian artist Jorit, expressed his protest against the decision of the University of Milano-Bicocca to close the course of lectures on Dostoevsky because of the special operation in Ukraine.

«Culture is a universal value, for which Dostoevsky is the heritage of mankind», commented Jorit.

Famous muralist Milan Milosavljevic Deroks has painted the second mural of Dostoevsky on the wall of a school in the Serbian town of Štrpce. The image was created as part of the Italian project Amici di Decani (Friends of Decani) in support of the Russian culture, which has been persecuted in European countries recently.

In 2021, Milan Milosavljevic donated the first work to the Cultural Centre of the Belgrade municipality of Cukarica. The Russian house in Belgrade became the initiator of the Dostoevsky bicentennial campaign.

On March 27, a peaceful action against Russophobia was held in Brussels. Its initiators were Belgian activists, in particular Jean-François Devroux. He emphasized the anti-military, peaceful nature and cultural and humanitarian orientation of the action.

Not only our compatriots and Russian-speaking Belgians attended the rally, but also representatives of the Belgian public.

The action was held in one of the most important places in Brussels - on the Robert Schuman Roundabout in the centre of the European Quarter. where the main institutions of the European Union are concentrated. Around 50 people gathered in front of the European Commission building.

“It was the first action in Brussels, but it was not the last one. We must continue to speak about it”, commented the organisers.

Jean-François Devroux, organizer of the rally against Russophobia in Brussels:

«The action organized this Sunday in Brussels is intended not only to denounce acts of anti-Russian sentiment in Europe, but above all to declare that the rights of the Russian-speaking people living among us are trampled upon and the articles of the European constitution are not respected.

I would like each of us to ask ourselves: should we completely "erase" such a rich and ancient Russian-speaking culture, should we imagine that from now on we will no longer listen to Tchaikovsky's music or read Tolstoy's books?

I don’t dare to believe it!»

On April 12, a rally in support of Russia was held in the Shaheed Park in New Delhi.
Several dozen people expressed their opposition to the anti-Russian sanctions and also condemned the opponents of the Russian culture. The participants came out with slogans such as "Long Live Russia!", "We love Russia!" and "India and Russia are brothers!".
Purnima Anand, Head of the International Federation of Indo-Russian Youth Clubs and the BRICS International Forum, co-organised the rally, underlining that sanctions affect not only Russia but other countries as well. She also added that "everything should be done to cherish the strong friendship between Russia and India, which have always been together for the past 75 years".
At the end of the rally, the participants staged a procession with a five-metre long Russian flag.
