🔬 Young scientists assembled in Sochi

On November 28, the III Congress of Young Scientists started in Sochi in the Sirius Park of Science and Art - one of the most important events of the Decade of Science and Technology.

More than 100 young scientists from 26 countries in Africa, Latin and Central America, Asia and neighboring countries are participating in the event. They will visit exhibitions of Russian scientific achievements, sessions on various topics of research activities and round tables.

📆 One of them - “Young Scientists: Science Without Borders” - will be held on November 29. Participants will discuss issues of international cooperation in the scientific field. The event was organized on the initiative of Rossotrudnichestvo with the participation of Southwestern State University.

🔬 Молодые ученве собрались в Сочи

28 ноября в Сочи в парке науки и искусства «Сириус» стартовал III Конгресс молодых ученых — одно из важнейших событий Десятилетия науки и технологий.

Более 100 молодых ученых из 26 стран Африки, Латинской и центральной Америки, Азии и ближнего зарубежья участвуют в событии. Они посетят выставки российских научных достижений, сессии по различным тематикам научно-исследовательской деятельности и круглые столы.

📆 Один из них — «Молодые ученые: наука без границ» — пройдет 29 ноября. Участникам предстоит обсудить вопросы международного сотрудничества в научной сфере. Мероприятие организовано по инициативе Россотрудничества при участии Юго-Западного государственного университета.

🎇 🥇On February 7, 2014, the XXII Olympic Games opened in Sochi

Let us recall a few interesting facts:

🔹 for the first time, the Olympic torch visited outer space and at the bottom of Lake Baikal;
🔹the Olympic torch relay lasted 123 days;
🔹official symbols - White Bear, Bunny and Leopard;
🔹slogan - “Hot. Winter. Yours."

A large number of infrastructure facilities were built to host the Olympics, which became an impetus for the further development of the host region. Many foreign athletes and guests noted that the level of organization of the Olympic Games in Sochi was recognized as one of the best in the entire history of the competition.

Teams from 88 countries have joined the Winter Olympics. This became a new record for the number of participating countries. And the Russian team took first place in the unofficial team competition, winning 33 medals.

🎇 🥇7 февраля 2014 года в Сочи открылись XXII Олимпийские игры.

Предлагаем вспомнить несколько интересных фактов:

🔹 впервые факел олимпийского огня побывал в открытом космосе и на дне озера Байкал;
🔹эстафета олимпийского огня продлилась 123 дня;

Для проведения олимпиады было построено большое количество инфраструктурных объектов, что стало импульсом для дальнейшего развития принимающего региона. Многие зарубежные спортсмены и гости отмечали, что уровень организации Олимпийских Игр в Сочи был признан одним из лучших за все время проведения соревнований.

Команды из 88 стран мира присоединились к Зимней Олимпиаде. Это стало новым рекордом по количеству стран-участниц. А Сборная России заняла первое место в неофициальном командном зачете, завоевав 33 медали.

“Not a single World Festival of Youth and Students can compare with the festivals held by Russia. Make new friends, establish new connections in various areas of life!” – this was the parting word given to young men and women on Thursday by Member of Parliament from the ruling Indian People’s Party (BJP) Tejasvi Surya.
The MP spoke in New Delhi in front of Indians who will go to the World Youth Festival in Russia. It will take place on the Sirius federal territory in the Krasnodar region.
T. Suriya himself was a participant in the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students, held in October 2017 in Sochi. Since September 2020, he has headed the Indian People's Youth Front, the youth wing of the BJP.
The meeting with festival delegates was organized by the National Preparatory Committee of India and ended with a performance by a folk dance group from Jalandhar, Punjab. The artists will also go to the festival in Russia.
