On 12 April 1961, the first ever human space flight was carried out by Yuri Gagarin, a Soviet citizen. This historic event opened the way for space exploration for the benefit of all humanity.
The UN General Assembly, in its resolution A/RES/65/271 of 7 April 2011, declared 12 April as the International Day of Human Space Flight “to celebrate each year at the international level the beginning of the space era for mankind, reaffirming the important contribution of space science and technology in achieving sustainable development goals and increasing the well-being of States and peoples, as well as ensuring the realization of their aspiration to maintain outer space for peaceful purposes.”

It will be possible to test your knowledge of space before the end of the year. Among those who successfully pass the test before April 20, 100 winners will be randomly selected. They will receive a prize - a poster with the text of the dictation and the autograph of Sergei Lukyanenko.
This year the dictation has been translated into Chinese, Arabic, German, French and English. Residents of Armenia, Vietnam, Donbass, Egypt, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, Transnistria, Russia, Romania, Tajikistan, France and other countries have already registered for the action.

Dmitry Polikanov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, noted that this year the number of participants in the dictation has increased.
At the moment, more than 24 thousand people from 62 countries have already registered at the event's website. 268 people have already managed to cope successfully with all 13 questions.
From those who will answer all the dictation’s questions correctly, 100 people will be chosen at random. They will get a poster with the full dictation’s text and an autograph of Sergey Lukyanenko, its author.
