Pavel Shevtsov, deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo, took part in the opening of the international educational project "Summer University " on 10 July.
Shevtsov noted that the project is actively developing. He also added that an increasing number of countries not only from the CIS but also from far abroad are showing interest in the educational program.
This year, the "Summer University " brought together 675 students from Armenia, Belarus, the DPR, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the LPR, Syria, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Educational intensives will be held for students in an interactive format at each of the "Summer University" project points. All participants of the project will be trained under the program "Accelerator of social projects". Students will develop socially-oriented projects in relevant areas with the support of mentors and representatives of industrial partners.
Engineering, bioengineering and medicine, history, philology, international journalism, tourism and service, marketing, economics and management, agriculture, design, speech therapy and defectology, pedagogy are the main areas of additional educational programs at the participating universities.
The project will continue until 24 July.

Applications are open for #InteRussia research internship for foreign specialists in the field of history and theory of international relations, political science and foreign regional studies. The program is implemented by the Gorchakov Foundation together with Rossotrudnichestvo and MGIMO. The topic of this internship is “The policy of the great and middle powers in Eurasia”.

The new IL-496 aircraft promises to become the flagship of Russian passenger aviation.
Development of the wide-body liner began in 2017. The aircraft is called the Il-96-400M and is an upgrade of the Soviet Il-96 aircraft, launched in 1988. They plan to put the car into operation no later than 2023.
It is expected that the novelty will be able to compete with the Boeing 747 and Airbus A380. For this, the Russian aircraft already has everything needed. With its dimensions, the Russian liner can raise up to 58 tons of payload into the sky, and the capacity of the aircraft will be 435 passenger seats. For comparison, the Soviet Il-96 could carry only 40 tons of payload and 300 passengers.
Interestingly, the IL-496 can become the first aircraft to receive a promising PD-35 engine at its disposal, the main feature of which is the possibility of developing ultra-high thrust from 33 to 40 tons on takeoff. This will reduce the number of power units from 4 to 2 pieces while maintaining the speed and traction indicators of the aircraft. It is also important that the transition of the Russian aircraft to new engines will make it one of the most fuel-efficient in the world.

On 11 July, Moscow handed over ambulances, autoevacuator, medical equipment and medical items to the DPR.
The ambulances were delivered to the Donetsk Central City Hospitals №1 and 9, the Republican Trauma Centre (RTC) and the Central City Hospitals in Snezhnoye and Torez.
The medical equipment is intended for equipping the Donetsk Clinical Territorial Medical Association, the RTC, the Institute of Emergency and Restorative Surgery named after V. Gusak and the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital.

Peoples of Russia: the Karachays
In Karachay-Cherkessia Republic of Russia, on the banks of the Khudes River, there is a boulder - the Stone of Karchi, the legendary leader of the Karachays people. According to legend, Karcha, sitting on this stone, announced the laws, according to many of which the Karachays still live today.
Karachays pay much attention to the observance of the ethical code “Yozden ADET”, which is a set of legal norms, moral prescriptions and rules.
Equestrian sports were and still are an integral part of all Karachai holidays. Previously, they were held on wedding days, on the occasion of the birth of a child, on the day of the beginning of spring and the end of the harvest, in the event of the arrival of honored guests.
The types of races were varied: on a flat place and on a steep descent from the mountain, with an obstacle and vaulting, that is, with the performance of acrobatic exercises. A dexterous dzhigit had to pick up a coin, a hat or a handkerchief from the ground at full gallop.
Karachays honor dance traditions and develop modern choreographic art.

Карачаевцы чтут танцевальные традиции и развивают современное хореографическое искусство.
