On August 29, the Institute of Russian language of the Russian House in Kolkata organised an orientation ssesion for the new students.
Cultural aspects of Indo-Russian relations were discussed at the meeting. An audio visual presentation was prepared by a senior student of the Institute, Somoshri Paladhi.

The cultural program was no less eventful: a tour of the historical center of Moscow, the cultural center Khlebozavod, the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy.

🌐 Молодые журналисты из 9 зарубежных стран уже посетили штаб-квартиру ИТАР-ТАСС и редакцию издательского дома «Комсомольская правда», побывали на встрече с заместителем Председателя Совета Федерации Константином Иосифовичем Косачёвым.

🤔 What is journalistic ethics? Why is it important to comply with its standards? Special correspondent of the Vzglyad newspaper, Yuri Vasiliev, helped young professionals find answers to these questions. As a result of the conversation, the participants learned what professional problems a journalist has to face and how to solve them.
📱 The program of the day continued with a visit to the VKontakte office. The company's employees told the participants about the ecosystem of services that allow you to create and promote multimedia content. They shared techniques for developing blogs that allow you to effectively attract an audience and increase its engagement.
➡️ The final event of the program was the defense of media projects. Each of the 9 country teams presented their video and journalistic project. The guys shared their intercountry ideas and initiatives, such as creating cards with gastronomic delights of our countries or a joint investigation.

The children saw one of the most memorable and significant monuments of the city, dedicated to the Battle on the Ice. The victory in the battle on Lake Peipus was of great importance in the history of Rus'.
🌍 In addition, the young Russian compatriots visited the local planetarium, where they watched a short film-lesson about the space history of Russia and the USSR.
The children also had a quest to find the sculptures of the Snow Leopard, which is the symbol of Pskov. The figures are located in different areas of the city and have their own unique design.
🎶 At the end of the day, the young compatriots took part in a balalaika master class from the head of the honored folk art group "Skaz" named after V. Rumyantsev Konstantin Ababkov.

Ребята увидели один из самых запоминающихся и значимых монументов города, посвященный Ледовому Побоищу. Победа в битве на Чудском озере имела большое значение в истории Руси.

Также ребят ожидал квест по поиску скульптур Барса, который является символом Пскова. Фигуры располагаются в разных районах города и имеют свой уникальный дизайн.

In 5 days, young journalists visited the editorial offices of the largest Russian media holdings, took part in master classes and interactive lectures with leading experts in the field of journalism, and were able to apply the knowledge they had gained in practice.
At the end of the internship, everyone presented and defended their own ideas for the development of modern media, as well as for expanding interaction between our countries in the information space.
🌐 The guys also walked around the historical center of Moscow and Zaryadye Park, visited the Khlebozavod art space and VDNKh, and saw the capital from a boat. We wish our friends creative success!

⭐️ Foreign experts learned about the longest railway and the advantages of Russian regions at the Eastern Economic Forum-2024
Representatives from Brunei, Vietnam, Egypt, Zimbabwe, India, Indonesia, Cameroon, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, China, Lebanon, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and South Africa came to Vladivostok to participate in the Eastern Economic Forum as part of the New Generation program.
📌 At the forum, foreigners visited pavilions dedicated to different regions of Russia, learned how to assemble a Kalashnikov assault rifle and learned more about the Trans-Siberian Railway.
The business program was held on the territory of the Far Eastern Federal University, where everyone could attend sessions on the topic of international cooperation related to entrepreneurship, diplomacy and ecology.
😍 The delegates were most impressed by the city tour. In Vladivostok, foreign specialists visited a unique museum, which is located in a former active submarine. The participants also learned about the history of Primorsky Krai in the Arsenyev Museum and tried local delicacies in the Trepang Museum - a sea cucumber.

Представители из Брунея, Вьетнама, Египта, Зимбабве, Индии, Индонезии, Камеруна, Кении, Киргизии, Китая, Ливана, Малайзии, Нигерии, Пакистана, Саудовской Аравии и ЮАР приехали во Владивосток для участия в Восточном экономическом форуме в рамках программы «Новое поколение».
📌 На площадке форума иностранцы посетили павильоны, посвященные разным регионам России, научились собирать автомат Калашникова и больше узнали про Транссибирскую магистраль.
Бизнес программа проходила на территории Дальневосточного Федерального университета, где каждый мог посетить сессии по теме международного сотрудничества, связанного с предпринимательством, дипломатией и экологией.
😍 Больше всего делегатов впечатлила экскурсия по городу. Во Владивостоке иностранные специалисты побывали в уникальном музее, который находится в бывшей действующей подводной лодке. Также участники познакомились с историей Приморского края в музее имени Арсеньева и попробовали местные деликатесы в музее трепанга — морского огурца.

🌊 On September 2, the Honorary Consul of Russia in India began his journey along the route of Afanasy Nikitin
The starting point was Tver, namely the embankment of the famous Russian traveler. The head of the Russian House in Trivandrum, Ratish Nair, met with Senator of the Federation Council of Russia from the Tver Region Lyudmila Skakovskaya and Rector of Tver State University Sergei Smirnov.
“I am sure that this is a wonderful undertaking - repeating the path of the Tver merchant Afanasy Nikitin. This will help educational and outreach work, draw attention to the figure of the traveler, and strengthen the ties between our countries. I am sure that in our country, preserving and studying history is one of the most important areas of work,” the senator emphasized.
“Even in India, not everyone knows that Afanasy Nikitin is the first foreigner who arrived in our country for peaceful purposes. Friendly relations between India and Russia should be strengthened. This is also the goal of my mission. I am confident that a trip that follows the path of a Russian traveler will help show Russia as it is and open it up to foreigners without speculation and fakes,” said Ratish Nair.
💬 The meeting participants discussed the opening of Russian online educational courses in Russian in the Indian state of Karnataka, as well as other educational initiatives.
Let us remind you that in addition to Russia, the head of the Russian House in Trivandrum will visit four more countries. His route, like 555 years ago, will lie from Tver to Astrakhan along the Volga, then by car to Derbent and Azerbaijan, and then to Iran. From there, the modern explorer will fly to Oman, and then to India.

⛪️ On September 3, Ratish Nair arrived in Kalyazin, where he visited the monastery mentioned in Afanasy Nikitin's book.
🟣 Next, Ratish Nair headed to Uglich, where he met with the city's mayor, Anatoliy Kuritsyn. The parties agreed to organize "Uglich Days" in Trivandrum in 2025.

On September 23, Institute of Russian Language commemorated the 877th anniversary of Moscow City foundation.
Students of the language courses performed a song and a poem, dedicated to Moscow. This was followed by the presentation on history of Moscow and its tourist attractions.
