🗓 Every year on August 9th, the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples is celebrated worldwide.
The celebration was initiated by the United Nations in 1994. The International Day of Indigenous Peoples helps draw attention to the roots of traditional culture, awakening interest and respect for the customs of the peoples.
As of today, according to UN estimates, there are between 370 to 500 million indigenous people living in 90 countries, making up 5-6% of the world's population. They are the bearers of more than 5,000 unique cultures and traditions inherited from their ancestors.
For Russia, this day holds special significance, as our country has long been home to around two hundred nationalities living in harmony and speaking 270 languages, 47 of which belong to indigenous minority peoples. Russian legislation defines indigenous peoples as objects of special legal protection, bearers of collective and individual rights. The unique diversity of customs, traditions, and languages is our common invaluable heritage, which we protect and develop.
🇷🇺 The need for sustainable economic, social, and cultural development of indigenous minority peoples, the protection of their ancestral habitats, traditional way of life, rights, and legitimate interests is hard to overestimate. Therefore, supporting indigenous minority peoples is a priority task for Russia, ensuring the strengthening of our society in the face of new challenges.

Media School for Compatriots participants attended 2 master classes dedicated to current topics in the media sphere.
🔄 The first was conducted by Svetlana Chinarova, head of new business at D Lab Gazprom Media Holding and a teacher at the Higher School of Economics. She organized a business game on the topic of "How to create collaborations: 1+1=11". During this game, participants learned about strategies for creating successful partnerships and were able to apply the knowledge they gained in practice, working on the implementation of real projects.
👀 The second master class was conducted by Renat Yanbekov, a video producer, who revealed the secrets of popularity and trends in the creation of vertical videos.

Next week, the 5th Arctic expedition "Icebreaker of Knowledge" will depart from Murmansk, organized with the support of the state corporation "Rosatom" and the Russian society "Knowledge".
The passengers of the nuclear icebreaker "50 Years of Victory" will be the winners of the open competition of the "Icebreaker of Knowledge" project, the finalists of the all-Russian competition "Big Change" and the participants of the "Juniors of Rosatom" movement, as well as talented schoolchildren from Russia, Mongolia, Hungary, India, China and South Africa.
A team of experts is responsible for the educational program, which includes Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences Artem Oganov, popularizer Stanislav Drobyshevsky, CEO of the Russian society "Knowledge" Maxim Dreval, Director of the Department of Sustainable Development of the state corporation "Rosatom" Polina Lyon, actor Mark Eidelstein and participants of the World Youth Festival in Sochi.

Плато Канжол находится западнее Бермамыта и ближе к Эльбрусу. Это плато превосходит своего красивого соседа и по высоте, и по площади. Плато Канжол — это просто неземное место, в котором вас постоянно преследует ощущение нереальности происходящего.
Между ним и Эльбрусом лежит довольно низкое плоскогорье, на которое вы взираете с высоты нескольких сотен метров. Утром вас ждет огненная полоса рассвета на востоке, которая окрасит в красный всё плато, горы и укроет тёплым светом Эльбрус. Возможно, именно этот момент будет вам долго сниться.

Ancient manuscripts can be now recognized with help of modern technologies
A computer program determining the age and authorship of ancient manuscripts has been created in Veliky Novgorod. The unique product based on neural networks was developed by specialists from the Advanced Engineering School of the Novgorod University (NovSU) named after Yaroslav the Wise.
There is no analogue of the program, TASS reports. The specialists said that the program is capable of recognizing the time of writing of the ancient document and the author from a photograph of an ancient manuscript.

Разработку уникального продукта на базе нейросетей осуществили специалисты Передовой инженерной школы Новгородского университета (НовГУ) имени Ярослава Мудрого. По их словам, аналога программы не существует, сообщает ТАСС.

On August 11 in 1337, Sergius of Radonezh founded the monastery that later became the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius. Today the shrine is the true heart of Russian Orthodoxy. We tell you what is definitely worth a visit once you are here.
🔴 Trinity Cathedral
The main cathedral temple and the oldest surviving structure of the Trinity Cathedral, the first stone building of the Lavra. It was erected by the Monk Nikon in 1422-1423 "in honor and praise" of the founder of the monastery, the Monk Sergius of Radonezh. The construction of the temple was carried out with the assistance of the son of Grand Duke Dmitry Donskoy - Prince Yuri of Zvenigorod and Galicia, godson of the Venerable Sergius. The place where the relics of the Trinity Prince rest is the holy of holies of the monastery.
🟢 Assumption Cathedral
Built in the middle of the XVI century by the order of Ivan the Terrible, the cathedral amazes with its grandeur and splendor. Inside you can see unique frescoes and icons created in just one summer of 1684 by Yaroslavl and Troitsk masters under the guidance of one of the famous icon painters of that time Dmitry Plekhanov.
🟡 Church of St. Sergius with Refectory Chamber
This architectural masterpiece of the XVII century combines beauty and functionality. The Refectory Chamber is the largest building of this type in Russia and is still used for its intended purpose. Inside there is a church consecrated in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
🔵 Bell tower
The symbol of Lavra is one of the tallest in Russia - its height is 88 meters. The bell tower is made in the Baroque style and dominates over all the buildings of the complex. From its top you can enjoy a stunning view of the surrounding area.

🔴Троицкий собор
Главный соборный храм и древнейшее из сохранившихся сооружений Троицкого монастыря, первое каменное здание Лавры. Он воздвигнут преподобным Никоном в 1422-1423 годах «в честь и похвалу» основателю монастыря, преподобному Сергию Радонежскому. Строительство храма осуществлялось при содействии сына великого князя Дмитрия Донского — Звенигородского и Галицкого князя Юрия Дмитриевича, крестника Преподобного Сергия. Место, где покоятся мощи Троицкого первоигумена, — святая святых монастыря.
🟢Успенский собор
Построенный в середине XVI века по указу Ивана Грозного собор поражает своим величием и великолепием. Внутри можно увидеть уникальные фрески и иконы, созданные всего лишь за одно лето 1684 года ярославскими и троицкими мастерами под руководством одного из известных иконописцев того времени Дмитрия Григорьевича Плеханова.
🟡Церковь преподобного Сергия с Трапезной палатой
Этот архитектурный шедевр XVII века сочетает в себе красоту и функциональность. Трапезная палата является крупнейшим в России зданием такого типа и до сих пор используется по назначению. Внутри находится церковь, освященная в честь преподобного Сергия Радонежского.
🔵Колокольня
Символ Лавры — одна из самых высоких в России — её высота составляет 88 метров. Колокольня выполнена в стиле барокко и доминирует над всеми постройками комплекса. С её вершины открывается потрясающий вид на окрестности.

It was erected by the Monk Nikon in 1422-1423 "in honor and praise" of the founder of the monastery, the Monk Sergius of Radonezh. The construction of the temple was carried out with the assistance of the son of Grand Duke Dmitry Donskoy - Prince Yuri of Zvenigorod and Galicia, godson of the Venerable Sergius. The place where the relics of the Trinity Prince rest is the holy of holies of the monastery.
🟢 Assumption Cathedral
Built in the middle of the XVI century by the order of Ivan the Terrible, the cathedral amazes with its grandeur and splendor. Inside you can see unique frescoes and icons created in just one summer of 1684 by Yaroslavl and Troitsk masters under the guidance of one of the famous icon painters of that time Dmitry Plekhanov.
🟡 Church of St. Sergius with Refectory Chamber
This architectural masterpiece of the XVII century combines beauty and functionality. The Refectory Chamber is the largest building of this type in Russia and is still used for its intended purpose. Inside there is a church consecrated in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
🔵 Bell tower
The symbol of Lavra is one of the tallest in Russia - its height is 88 meters. The bell tower is made in the Baroque style and dominates over all the buildings of the complex. From its top you can enjoy a stunning view of the surrounding area.

🔴Троицкий собор
Главный соборный храм и древнейшее из сохранившихся сооружений Троицкого монастыря, первое каменное здание Лавры. Он воздвигнут преподобным Никоном в 1422-1423 годах «в честь и похвалу» основателю монастыря, преподобному Сергию Радонежскому. Строительство храма осуществлялось при содействии сына великого князя Дмитрия Донского — Звенигородского и Галицкого князя Юрия Дмитриевича, крестника Преподобного Сергия. Место, где покоятся мощи Троицкого первоигумена, — святая святых монастыря.
🟢Успенский собор
Построенный в середине XVI века по указу Ивана Грозного собор поражает своим величием и великолепием. Внутри можно увидеть уникальные фрески и иконы, созданные всего лишь за одно лето 1684 года ярославскими и троицкими мастерами под руководством одного из известных иконописцев того времени Дмитрия Григорьевича Плеханова.

Этот архитектурный шедевр XVII века сочетает в себе красоту и функциональность. Трапезная палата является крупнейшим в России зданием такого типа и до сих пор используется по назначению. Внутри находится церковь, освященная в честь преподобного Сергия Радонежского.

Символ Лавры — одна из самых высоких в России — её высота составляет 88 метров. Колокольня выполнена в стиле барокко и доминирует над всеми постройками комплекса. С её вершины открывается потрясающий вид на окрестности.
