🌞 Suzdal has managed to preserve the charm of antiquity, the unique spirit of Slavic traditions and the ineffable aura of holy places. It has become a real open-air museum: there are about 200 ancient monuments here. We are going to tell you why you should visit the city and what to see.

🏰 Suzdal Kremlin
The Kremlin has been preserved since the X century. There are churches and the ensemble of the Bishop's Court with the Nativity Cathedral. And in the building of the Hierarch's Chambers there are eight halls with expositions. Here you can admire ancient icons and paintings, feel the atmosphere of the XVIII century, visit the reconstructed Zemsky school and visit the provincial fair.

🛖 Museum of Wooden Architecture and Peasant Life
When visiting the museum you will be transported to a real Russian village. Here you can see everyday objects of peasants of Vladimir province, visit thematic expositions and take part in traditional festivals and holidays. On the territory of the museum there are 18 monuments of wooden architecture dating back to the XVIII-XIX centuries. Many exhibits presented here were built exclusively with the help of an axe.

⛪️ Spaso-Evfimiev Monastery of Men
The monastery was built in 1352 as a men's monastery and a fortress for the defense of the city. Now it works as a museum complex and services are no longer held there. In St. Nicholas Church and other buildings with expositions are kept the rarest finds of XII-XVII centuries: ancient books, jewelry, unique iconostasis, products in the technique of casting. You can also admire the XVI century frescoes and wall paintings in the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Savior.

🏰 Суздальский кремль

🛖 Музей деревянного зодчества и крестьянского быта

Здесь вы сможете увидеть предметы быта крестьян Владимирской губернии, посетить тематические экспозиции и поучаствовать в традиционных фестивалях, праздниках. На территории музея расположено 18 памятников деревянного зодчества, датируемых XVIII-XIX веками. Многие экспонаты, представленные здесь, были построены исключительно с помощью топора.

⛪️ Спасо-Евфимиев мужской монастырь
Монастырь был построен в 1352 году как мужская обитель и крепость для защиты города. Сейчас он работает как музейный комплекс и службы в нём уже не проводят. В Никольской церкви и других корпусах с экспозициями хранятся редчайшие находки XII-XVII веков: древние книги, украшения, уникальный иконостас, изделия в технике литья. Также здесь можно полюбоваться фресками XVI века и росписью стен в Спасо-Преображенском соборе.

A grand museum and temple complex "New Chersonesus" have been opened in Sevastopol.

Visitors will have access to open-air archaeological exhibits, with the oldest monuments of the "Chersonesus Taurica" museum-reserve becoming an integral part of the new complex.

The site includes Russia's first Museum of Christianity, the Museum of Antiquity and Byzantium, the Museum of Crimea and Novorossiya, as well as a reconstructed Byzantine quarter, an amphitheater, and a landscaped park.

The complex was consecrated on the Day of the Baptism of Rus. In front of the reconstructed St. Vladimir's Cathedral, a monument to St. Vladimir the Equal-to-the-Apostles, who was baptized in the sacred waters of Chersonesus, was unveiled.

Leading museums of the country participated in the development of the concept for the new exhibition spaces.

The "New Chersonesus" museum and temple complex will open to visitors on July 30.

В Севастополе открылся грандиозный музейно-храмовый комплекс «Новый Херсонес»

Посетителям откроются археологические экспозиции под открытым небом. Древнейшие памятники музея-заповедника «Херсонес Таврический» стали полноценной частью нового комплекса.

На территории расположены первый в России Музей христианства, Музей Античности и Византии, Музей Крыма и Новороссии, а также реконструированный Византийский квартал, амфитеатр и ландшафтный парк.

Комплекс освятили в День Крещения Руси. Перед реконструированным Свято-Владимирским кафедральным собором открыли памятник святому равноапостольному князю Владимиру, который принял крещение в священных водах Херсонеса.

В работе над концепцией новых экспозиционных пространств принимали участие ведущие музеи страны.

Для посетителей музейно-храмовый комплекс «Новый Херсонес» откроется 30 июля.

🔴 Trinity Cathedral
The main cathedral temple and the oldest surviving structure of the Trinity Cathedral, the first stone building of the Lavra. It was erected by the Monk Nikon in 1422-1423 "in honor and praise" of the founder of the monastery, the Monk Sergius of Radonezh. The construction of the temple was carried out with the assistance of the son of Grand Duke Dmitry Donskoy - Prince Yuri of Zvenigorod and Galicia, godson of the Venerable Sergius. The place where the relics of the Trinity Prince rest is the holy of holies of the monastery.

🟢 Assumption Cathedral
Built in the middle of the XVI century by the order of Ivan the Terrible, the cathedral amazes with its grandeur and splendor. Inside you can see unique frescoes and icons created in just one summer of 1684 by Yaroslavl and Troitsk masters under the guidance of one of the famous icon painters of that time Dmitry Plekhanov.

🟡 Church of St. Sergius with Refectory Chamber
This architectural masterpiece of the XVII century combines beauty and functionality. The Refectory Chamber is the largest building of this type in Russia and is still used for its intended purpose. Inside there is a church consecrated in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh.

🔵 Bell tower
The symbol of Lavra is one of the tallest in Russia - its height is 88 meters. The bell tower is made in the Baroque style and dominates over all the buildings of the complex. From its top you can enjoy a stunning view of the surrounding area.

🔴Троицкий собор
Главный соборный храм и древнейшее из сохранившихся сооружений Троицкого монастыря, первое каменное здание Лавры. Он воздвигнут преподобным Никоном в 1422-1423 годах «в честь и похвалу» основателю монастыря, преподобному Сергию Радонежскому. Строительство храма осуществлялось при содействии сына великого князя Дмитрия Донского — Звенигородского и Галицкого князя Юрия Дмитриевича, крестника Преподобного Сергия. Место, где покоятся мощи Троицкого первоигумена, — святая святых монастыря.

🟢Успенский собор
Построенный в середине XVI века по указу Ивана Грозного собор поражает своим величием и великолепием. Внутри можно увидеть уникальные фрески и иконы, созданные всего лишь за одно лето 1684 года ярославскими и троицкими мастерами под руководством одного из известных иконописцев того времени Дмитрия Григорьевича Плеханова.

🟡Церковь преподобного Сергия с Трапезной палатой
Этот архитектурный шедевр XVII века сочетает в себе красоту и функциональность. Трапезная палата является крупнейшим в России зданием такого типа и до сих пор используется по назначению. Внутри находится церковь, освященная в честь преподобного Сергия Радонежского.

🔵Колокольня
Символ Лавры — одна из самых высоких в России — её высота составляет 88 метров. Колокольня выполнена в стиле барокко и доминирует над всеми постройками комплекса. С её вершины открывается потрясающий вид на окрестности.

✨ City of shining skies - what is it? This is what the capital of the Polar Region - Murmansk is called. We tell you more about it!

It is particularly recommended to come here in winter - because of the northern lights. Among the sights worth seeing is the monument "Alyosha" (affectionately referred to by locals), dedicated to the liberators of the Polar region from the Nazis. The warrior stands with his back to the city, as if covering it with himself. He is protecting it from the enemies. There is an observation platform near the monument. It offers a picturesque view of the city and the Kola Bay. 😍

🚢 Don't forget to see the trademark of Murmansk - icebreaker "Lenin", which in the XX century became the first nuclear-powered icebreaker. You can even climb aboard and see the exposition!

Much attention should be paid to the outskirts of the city. For example, the village of Teriberka. Here you can go for a walk and see the whales, ride reindeer sleds and snowmobiles in winter, visit the beach with the "dinosaur eggs"-stones and satisfate yourself with local cuisine rich in seafood. Tourists highlight the incredibly picturesque nature.

👉 Near Teriberka there is a real graveyard of ships! The remains of sea vessels - from small fishing boats to huge boards - is a really breathtaking sight.

Be sure to examine the Kanozero Petroglyphs - rock carvings of the IV-II millennium BC. Since 2008 in the village of Umba in the south of the Kola Peninsula there is a museum "Petroglyphs of Kanozero". You can see the exhibits there or go on an excursion to the islands.

Приехать сюда рекомендуют именно зимой — из-за северного сияния. 🚢 Не забудьте увидеть визитную карточку Мурманска — ледокол «Ленин», который в XX веке стал первым ледоколом с ядерной энергетической установкой. На борт можно даже подняться и посмотреть экспозицию!

Большое внимание стоит уделить окрестностям города. Например, селу Териберка. Здесь можно отправиться на прогулку к китам, покататься на оленьих упряжках и снегоходах зимой, посетить пляж с камнями-«яйцами динозавров» и насытиться местной кухней, богатой морепродуктами. Отдельно туристы отмечают невероятно живописную природу.

👉 Рядом с Териберкой есть настоящее кладбище кораблей! Останки морских судов — от маленьких рыбацких лодок до огромных бортов — действительно захватывающее зрелище.

Обязательно изучите Канозерские петроглифы — наскальные изображения IV-II тысячелетия до н. э. С 2008 года в посёлке Умба на юге Кольского полуострова работает музей «Петроглифы Канозера». Экспонаты можно посмотреть там или отправиться на экскурсию на острова.

The symbol of the city is considered to be a water treatment center with a water tower, built in the XX century in the style of German romanticism. In Soviet times, sculptor Nikolai Frolov made a clock specially for this architectural masterpiece. Today there is still a medical institution working here. Tourists can get here only with sanatorium books.

🎵 In "Amber Hall" you can attend concerts, plays, performances of local groups and famous artists. Here do not miss the branch of the Kaliningrad Museum of the World Ocean - Marine Exhibition Center with interesting expositions. The building is also regarded as an excellent example of modern architecture.

Have you ever listened to an organ? The best organ on the Baltic coast is located in the Makarov Hall - in the former Catholic Chapel. The organ was custom-made by the famous German firm "Hugo Meyer".
