According to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, about 300 thousand people from 190 countries have sent applications to participate in the World Youth Festival. He noted that the Soviet Union regularly held events of this scale.

“Not a single World Festival of Youth and Students can compare with the festivals held by Russia. Make new friends, establish new connections in various areas of life!” – this was the parting word given to young men and women on Thursday by Member of Parliament from the ruling Indian People’s Party (BJP) Tejasvi Surya.
The MP spoke in New Delhi in front of Indians who will go to the World Youth Festival in Russia. It will take place on the Sirius federal territory in the Krasnodar region.
T. Suriya himself was a participant in the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students, held in October 2017 in Sochi. Since September 2020, he has headed the Indian People's Youth Front, the youth wing of the BJP.
The meeting with festival delegates was organized by the National Preparatory Committee of India and ended with a performance by a folk dance group from Jalandhar, Punjab. The artists will also go to the festival in Russia.
