In the anniversary year, thematic exhibitions, excursions and many outdoor events will be organized for visitors.

🏛 The Russian Museum is the world’s largest museum of Russian art, a unique architectural and artistic complex in the historic center of Saint Petersburg
Russia’s first state museum of Russian fine arts was established in 1898 by order of Emperor Nickolas II. To organize exhibitions and collections, the museum was given the Mikhailovsky Palace with the adjacent areas and buildings such as the side wings and garden. The Russian Museum collection was made up of the objects and works of art handed over from the Winter, Gatchina and Alexander Palaces, the Academy of Arts, and the Hermitage. A grand museum and temple complex "New Chersonesus" have been opened in Sevastopol.
Visitors will have access to open-air archaeological exhibits, with the oldest monuments of the "Chersonesus Taurica" museum-reserve becoming an integral part of the new complex.
The site includes Russia's first Museum of Christianity, the Museum of Antiquity and Byzantium, the Museum of Crimea and Novorossiya, as well as a reconstructed Byzantine quarter, an amphitheater, and a landscaped park.
The complex was consecrated on the Day of the Baptism of Rus. In front of the reconstructed St. Vladimir's Cathedral, a monument to St. Vladimir the Equal-to-the-Apostles, who was baptized in the sacred waters of Chersonesus, was unveiled.
Leading museums of the country participated in the development of the concept for the new exhibition spaces.
The "New Chersonesus" museum and temple complex will open to visitors on July 30.

В Севастополе открылся грандиозный музейно-храмовый комплекс «Новый Херсонес»
Посетителям откроются археологические экспозиции под открытым небом. Древнейшие памятники музея-заповедника «Херсонес Таврический» стали полноценной частью нового комплекса.
На территории расположены первый в России Музей христианства, Музей Античности и Византии, Музей Крыма и Новороссии, а также реконструированный Византийский квартал, амфитеатр и ландшафтный парк.
Комплекс освятили в День Крещения Руси. Перед реконструированным Свято-Владимирским кафедральным собором открыли памятник святому равноапостольному князю Владимиру, который принял крещение в священных водах Херсонеса.
В работе над концепцией новых экспозиционных пространств принимали участие ведущие музеи страны.
Для посетителей музейно-храмовый комплекс «Новый Херсонес» откроется 30 июля.
