A trip to the roots of freedom: Kolkata school visited Russian House
On 12 August 2022, Russian House in Kolkata has facilitated a visit of Kolkata's Central Modern School to the collectors' exhibition "Call of the Freedom". During the excursion, a group of students has been taken through the showpieces related to the history of the colonial India and its fight for the independence.
Children got acquainted with the Russian House and its cultural activities.

12 августа 2022 года Русский дом в Калькутте организовал посещение выставки коллекционеров "Зов свободы" учениками Центральной современной школы. В ходе экскурсии группа школьников ознакомилась с экспонатами, связанными с историей колониальной Индии и её борьбой за независимость.
Дети познакомились с Русским домом и его культурной деятельностью.

Children from Russia won six gold medals at the 20th International Junior Science Olympiad in Bangkok.
Winners:
🔹 Fedor Avdeev and Maria Myagkova are students of the Moscow Lyceum “Second School” named after Ovchinnikov
🔹 Robert Bitlev is a student of the St. Petersburg Lyceum No. 533 “Educational Complex “Malaya Okhta””
🔹 Vladimir Belenky - student of Moscow school No. 179
🔹 Roman Kozhevnikov - student of the Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 5 of the city of Dolgoprudny
🔹 Maria Torkanovskaya is a student of the Kapitsa Physical and Technical Lyceum in the city of Dolgoprudny
In total, 311 schoolchildren from 55 countries took part in the Olympiad. They completed tasks in physics, chemistry and biology.
Also, the schoolchildren from Russia received a special prize for the experimental tour. The team was led by Valery Slobodyanin, head of the educational and methodological laboratory for working with gifted children at MIPT.

Ребята из России завоевали шесть золотых медалей на 20-й Международной естественно-научной олимпиаде юниоров в Бангкоке.
Победители:
🔹 Федор Авдеев и Мария Мягкова — ученики московского лицея «Вторая школа» имени Овчинникова
🔹 Роберт Битлев — ученик петербургского лицея №533 «Образовательный комплекс "Малая Охта"»
🔹 Владимир Беленький — ученик московской школы №179
🔹 Роман Кожевников — ученик физико-математического лицея №5 города Долгопрудный
🔹 Мария Торкановская — ученица физтех-лицея имени Капицы в городе Долгопрудный
Всего в олимпиаде участвовали 311 школьников из 55 стран. Они выполняли задания по физике, химии и биологии.
Также ребята из России получили специальный приз за экспериментальный тур. Руководил сборной Валерий Слободянин, заведующий учебно-методической лабораторией по работе с одаренными детьми МФТИ.
