🌌 Where to look for the famous bubble fields on Baikal
All tourists look for bubbles on Lake Baikal, because this is a very unusual and beautiful phenomenon. When methane gas rises from the bottom of the lake to the surface, it freezes along the way and turns into such white bubbles. Small bubbles should be looked for near the shore, and large bubbles are usually located further. There are two places where you can find them almost every year:
Bolshoe Goloustnoye - you can go there in one day. It's only 112 km from Irkutsk by car. The bubbles are beautiful, but be prepared for a lot of tourists.
