The plenary session of the VII Eastern Economic Forum, in addition to the President of Russia, was attended by representatives from Myanmar, Armenia, Mongolia and China. During the discussion, they talked about the role of the Far East on the way to a multipolar world, and also discussed projects and initiatives that are of great importance for strengthening Russia's ties with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
"The Far East, along with the Arctic, are regions that, of course, are the future of Russia," Vladimir Putin said.
"The Forum is of practical importance for enhancing international cooperation, maintaining stability and development of the Asia-Pacific region," the Prime Minister of Vietnam stressed.
"Russia remains an important partner in international investment cooperation. We will further strengthen comprehensive cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, finance, scientific technology, education and culture," Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Li Zhanshu added.

The largest delegations are from China, India, Myanmar, Mongolia and Laos. EEF-2023 takes place from 10 to 13 September in Vladivostok. This year the theme of the forum is "On the way to cooperation, peace and prosperity".
The participants will discuss the development of scientific diplomacy, international cooperation, education and technology, the use of artificial intelligence, the modernization of transport and logistics routes in the region, the creation of an alternative monetary and financial system, and more. 📣 From September 6 to 9, representatives of creative industries immersed themselves in the work of creative platforms. The participants proposed projects to increase the attractiveness of the Far East as part of the “Race of Ideas” competition, presented their own developments at the Festival of Young Entrepreneurs and Scientists, and also introduced each other to modern music of different ethnic groups. The winners received support in the further implementation of their initiatives from government officials and partners of the Far Eastern region.

On May 11th and 12th, Vladivostok will host the first international festival of street culture and gastronomy "Mayskiye".
The event will feature musicians, dancers and street artists from the Far East and Asia. Guests of the festival will have the opportunity to attend performances and culinary masterclasses, as well watch artists create art objects.
The gastronomic part of the festival will introduce visitors to Far Eastern cuisine.
