📚 At school, Titov became interested in technology. At first he helped the rural projectionist, then he set about creating a school radio center, for which he assembled a homemade radio receiver. By the end of the school Herman even built a small power plant.
🚀 After graduating from the Military Aviation School, Titov went to the Stalingrad Military Aviation School in Novosibirsk, then he served as a pilot in the Air Force of the Soviet Army.
On March 7, 1960, the first detachment of cosmonauts was formed, including Titov. He was destined to go into space second, as the next flight was more difficult. For such a mission, the most enduring candidate was required, which was precisely Titov.
🛰 The flight was made on August 6, 1961 and lasted 1 day, 1 hour and 11 minutes. During this time, the Vostok-2 spacecraft covered more than 700 thousand kilometers. The astronaut took the first photographs of the Earth, had lunch and dinner for the first time in zero gravity, slept in space, which was one of the most important experiments. However, he did not have an alarm clock, so the astronaut "overslept" communication with the Earth, not reacting to attempts to contact him.

Космонавт сделал первые фотоснимки Земли, впервые пообедал и поужинал в невесомости, поспал в космосе, что было одним из важнейших экспериментов. Однако будильника у него не было, поэтому космонавт «проспал» связь с Землей, не реагируя на попытки с ним связаться.
