On April 27, the St. George Ribbon campaign started at the Rossiya Segodnya MIA. These days, millions of people in Russia and other countries attach the St. George ribbon to their clothes, demonstrating their respect for those who fought for the Fatherland, national pride in the Great Victory.
This year, despite all the restrictions and prohibitions on the part of the leadership of unfriendly states, the action will take place in almost all countries where Russian Houses operate.
“The St. George Ribbon is now not just a sign of memory of the Great Patriotic War, but a sign of solidarity with Russia. A sign that connects our compatriots with the Motherland. I understand what kind of pressure comes on the Russians abroad, what kind of threats they receive. But I urge them not to be afraid, to be brave, because the St. George Ribbon is a symbol worth demonstrating,” said Evgeny Primakov, head of Rossotrudnichestvo.
“We will continue to carry out the action around the world. In the countries of the near abroad, the distribution of the St. George Ribbon will take place on a full scale, as expected, ”said Yevgeny Primakov.
The campaign has been running since 2005. Its slogan is "I remember! I'm proud".

27 апреля в МИА «Россия сегодня» стартовала акция «Георгиевская ленточка». В эти дни миллионы людей в России и других странах прикрепляют георгиевскую ленточку к одежде, демонстрируя свое уважение к тем, кто сражался за Отечество, всенародную гордость за Великую Победу.
В этом году, несмотря на все ограничения и запреты со стороны руководства недружественных государств, акция пройдет практически во всех странах, где действуют Русские дома.
«Георгиевская лента сейчас не просто знак памяти о Великой Отечественной войне, а знак солидарности с Россией. Знак, который связывает наших соотечественников с Родиной. Я понимаю, какое давление поступает за рубежом на россиян, какие угрозы они получают. Но я призываю их не бояться, быть смелыми, потому что Георгиевская лента — это тот символ, который стоит демонстрировать», — отметил руководитель Россотрудничества Евгений Примаков.
«Мы будем продолжать проводить акцию по всему миру. В странах ближнего зарубежья раздача Георгиевской ленты пройдет в полном масштабе, как положено», — заявил Евгений Примаков.
Акцию проводят с 2005 года. Ее слоган — «Я помню! Я горжусь».

An 80-metre St George's ribbon was unrolled in Crimea. This marked the start of the "St George's Ribbon" campaign in the Hero City of Sevastopol. Several generations of Sevastopol residents took part in the event, including 96-year old Mikhail Stepanovich Latoha, veteran of the Great Patriotic War.

Millions of people in Russia and other countries will have the opportunity to show their respect for those who fought for the Fatherland, to feel pride in the Great Victory with special force.
You can get a ribbon in Russian houses around the world.
For example:
🔹 In Cyprus, India (New Delhi) and Uzbekistan, distribution will begin on April 27 as part of the Victory Dictation campaign.
🔹 In Hungary - at the Russian House in Budapest from April 25 to May 5.
🔹 In Argentina, you can get a ribbon at the Russian House in Buenos Aires, for example, on May 4 at a private screening of the film "Nuremberg" or on May 6 at the procession of the "Immortal Regiment".
🔹 In Israel, the distribution of ribbons is planned on May 5 at a memorial rally in the forest of the Red Army near Jerusalem or at a motor rally from the north of Israel to the south.
Distribution of St.George ribbons at the Russian House in Kolkata will be held on May 8th and 9th.
The campaign has been running since 2005. Its slogan is "I remember! I'm proud!"
