Since 2005, November 7 has been celebrated in Russia as the Day of Russian Military Glory. On this day in 1941, a military parade was held on Red Square in honor of the anniversary of the October Revolution. This event was an important moment in the history of our country: the whole world saw that the Red Army was not going to give up and was ready to defend its Motherland to the last. Here are some interesting facts about this significant day:
🔵 28,000 fighters and commanders passed along the paving stones of Moscow, 140 artillery pieces, 160 tanks and 232 vehicles passed. All equipment was of domestic production, because the Lend-Lease program at that time had not yet been massively worked.
🔵 The weather was foggy, which did not allow enemy aircraft to interfere with the procession. Stalin, looking at the cloudy sky, said: "We are lucky, the Bolsheviks."
🔵 The march was filmed. However, due to the access control, the film group was late for the start and missed Stalin's speech. It ended up being recorded after the parade, indoors.
🔵 Few people know that not one parade took place on this day, but three - in Moscow, Voronezh and Kuibyshev.
🔵 There is a common myth that the parade participants immediately went into battle with the enemy. Many units really went towards the front, but the main battles were waiting for them in a few weeks.

Это событие стало важным моментом в истории нашей страны: весь мир увидел, что Красная армия не собирается сдаваться и готова защищать свою Родину до последнего. Вот несколько интересных фактов про этот знаменательный день:
🔵 По брусчатке Москвы прошли 28 тысяч бойцов и командиров, проехали 140 артиллерийских орудий, 160 танков и 232 автомашины. Вся техника была отечественного производства, ведь программа ленд-лиза на тот момент еще массово не работала.
🔵 Погода была туманной, что не позволило вражеской авиации помешать шествию. Сталин, взглянув на затянутое тучами небо, сказал: «Везет нам, большевикам».
🔵 Прохождение бойцов и военной техники снимали на кинопленку. Однако из-за пропускного режима киногруппа опоздала к началу и пропустила речь Сталина. В итоге ее записали после парада в помещении.
🔵 Мало кто знает, что в этот день состоялся не один парад, а три — в Москве, Воронеже и Куйбышеве.
🔵 Существует распространенный миф, что участники парада сразу отправлялись в бой с врагом. Многие части действительно поехали в сторону фронта, но основные бои ждали их через несколько недель.
